摘要: The present invention provides specific systems, methods and algorithms based on artificial intelligence expert system technology for determination of preferred routes of travel for electric vehicles (EVs). The systems, methods and algorithms provide such route guidance for battery-operated EVs in-route to a desired destination, but lacking sufficient battery energy to reach the destination from the current location of the EV. The systems and methods of the present invention disclose use of one or more specifically programmed computer machines with artificial intelligence expert system battery energy management and navigation route control. Such specifically programmed computer machines may be located in the EV and/or cloud-based or remote computer/data processing systems for the determination of preferred routes of travel, including intermediate stops at designated battery charging or replenishing stations. Expert system algorithms operating on combinations of expert defined parameter subsets for route selection are disclosed. Specific fuzzy logic methods are also disclosed based on defined potential route parameters with fuzzy logic determination of crisp numerical values for multiple potential routes and comparison of those crisp numerical values for selection of a particular route. Application of the present invention systems and methods to autonomous or driver-less EVs is also disclosed.

摘要: An electrical system includes a voltage bus, battery pack, power inverter module (PIM), electric machine, first contactor, and controller. The PIM is connected to the battery pack and has a capacitor, voltage sensor, and semiconductor switches. The electric machine having phase legs with a corresponding phase winding and resistive path. The first contactor connects the PIM to a positive rail of the bus. The controller opens the first contactor in response to a power-off event, commands a discharge of the capacitor through the resistive paths, diagnoses a state of health (SOH) of the first contactor using a first threshold decay rate of the capacitor output voltage upon opening the first contactor, and executes a control action with respect to the electrical system using the diagnosed SOH. The three possible SOH are unhealthy/hard-welded contactor, unhealthy/soft-welded contactor, and healthy/normally-functioning contactor condition. A vehicle and method are also disclosed.

Once the mobile device of a user or a user's vehicle comes within close proximity of the collection, charging and distribution machine or within a particular area surrounding the collection, charging and distribution machine, the collection, charging and distribution machine or a collection, charging and distribution machine management system communicates an alert (e.g., over a cellular network, short range wireless signal or wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) network) to the mobile device or vehicle indicating how many portable electrical energy storage devices are available at the distribution machine.

摘要: The present invention provides a device and a method for changing over an electric machine from the regular operating mode into the open-circuit mode. In order to avoid excessive increases in voltage and associated adverse effects on the electric machine and the other components, in particular batteries, a further control phase is introduced between the end of the regular operating mode and the freewheeling mode, during which further control phase the voltage at the terminals of the electric machine is continuously adjusted from the voltage previously set in the regular operating mode to the expected open-circuit voltage of the electric machine.

The battery display status provision server includes: a vehicle information receiver that receives vehicle identification information from a vehicle terminal; a driving data analyzer that retrieves driving data based on the received vehicle identification information and rates the driving pattern by extracting the vehicle driver's driving habits from the retrieved driving data; and a display status setting part that sets the battery display status based on the rated charging pattern and transmits the same to the vehicle terminal.

摘要: An electric vehicle includes: a vehicle drive apparatus configured to receive electricity to generate vehicle drive power and to generate electricity; a secondary battery that selectively receives and outputs electricity from/to the vehicle drive apparatus; a current sensor that selectively detects (a) an electric current to be input into the secondary battery and (b) an electric current output from the secondary battery; and an electronic control unit configured to control charging and discharging of the secondary battery, and configured to calculate, using a detected value from the current sensor, an evaluation value indicating a degree of deterioration of the secondary battery due to non-uniformity in salt concentration in the secondary battery caused by charging and discharging of the secondary battery. The electronic control unit is configured to execute a capacity-raising control in which a remaining capacity of the secondary battery is raised when the evaluation value reaches a prescribed threshold.
