Abstract: An abnormality diagnosis system performs an abnormality diagnosis of a plurality of motor systems that include a motor for moving a moving body. The abnormality diagnosis system identifies a comparison target system that is the motor system, among the motor systems, that is a comparison target in relation to a diagnosis target system that is the motor system to be a target of the abnormality diagnosis. The abnormality diagnosis system acquires a state-related value that is a value related to an operation state of the motor from each of the diagnosis target system and the comparison target system. The abnormality diagnosis system performs a comparison of the state-related value that is acquired from the diagnosis target system and the state-related value that is acquired from the comparison target system, and diagnoses a presence or absence of an abnormality in the diagnosis target system using a result of the comparison.

Abstract: A system in a vehicle includes a controller to implement a neural network to provide current commands based on inputs. The inputs include a torque input. The system also includes a current controller to provide a three-phase voltage through an inverter based on the current commands from the controller. An electric traction motor provides drive power to a transmission of the vehicle based on injection of the three-phase voltage. The current commands resulting from implementation of the neural network are corrected based on estimated torque resulting from the injection of the three-phase voltage to the electric traction motor.

Abstract: A fuel cell system for a vehicle or other system includes a fuel cell stack, a DC-DC boost converter, and a controller. The stack has a plurality of fuel cells and a stack voltage. The controller regulates the stack voltage during start-up of the fuel cell stack via the boost converter, and is programmed with a plurality of calibrated voltage profiles each having a corresponding magnitude and rate of change. The controller is configured to execute a method which includes detecting an air start of the fuel cell stack in response to a requested start-up of the fuel cell stack. The controller then enforces the stack voltage to the predetermined voltage profiles during an actual start-up of the fuel cell stack, doing so via regulation of the boost converter and using the plurality of calibrated voltage profiles.

Abstract: Disclosed are fuel cell architectures, fuel cell stack monitoring systems, and control logic for detecting fluid property changes in a fuel cell stack. A method is disclosed for detecting a flow property change of a fluid in a fuel cell system. This method includes determining, e.g., through system analysis or accessing a look-up table, a correlation between voltage change of the fuel cell system and flow property of the fluid, and determining, from the voltage-property correlation, a calibrated voltage drop corresponding to the property change of the fluid. The method monitors system voltage (e.g., moving average voltage of the fuel cell stack operating at steady state), and detecting a voltage magnitude change in the system voltage, e.g., when an anode exhaust valve is opened. Responsive to the voltage magnitude change being greater than the calibrated voltage drop, a signal is generated indicating detection of the flow property change.

A primary winding of a transformer is connected between the U-phase switching circuit and the V-phase switching circuit, and both ends of a secondary winding are connected to the α-phase switching circuit. The α-phase switching circuit comprises positive and negative terminals, a half bridge including and two switching devices, and a voltage divider circuit. The half bridge is provided between the positive terminal and the negative terminal, and a common connection point between the two switching devices is connected to one end of the secondary winding. A voltage divider output point of the voltage divider circuit is connected to the other end of the secondary winding.
