摘要: A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate exposed on opposite sides, respectively; a can to accommodate the electrode assembly, and having opposite open sides; a first terminal electrically coupled to the first electrode plate of the electrode assembly; a first cap plate to seal one of the open sides of the can, and externally expose the first terminal; a second terminal electrically coupled to the second electrode plate of the electrode assembly; and a second cap plate to seal the other of the open sides of the can, and externally expose the second terminal. The can includes a cooling pad adhered to an inner surface of the can through a first adhesive.

摘要: A nickel-based active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery includes: a secondary particle including a plurality of particulate structures, wherein each particulate structure includes a porous core portion and a shell portion, the shell portion including primary particles radially arranged on the porous core portion; and the secondary particle has a plurality of radial centers. When the nickel-based active material precursor is used, a nickel-based positive active material having a short lithium ion diffusion distance, in which intercalation and deintercalation of lithium are facilitated, may be obtained. A lithium secondary battery manufactured using the positive active material may exhibit enhanced lithium availability, and may exhibit enhanced capacity and lifespan due to suppression of crack formation in the active material during charging and discharging.

摘要: A battery module includes: a plurality of aligned battery cells having differently-oriented surfaces; a cell supervision circuit (CSC) configured to receive signals corresponding to the voltage and/or temperature of at least one of the battery cells; and a flexible interconnector comprising a strip-shaped flexible printed circuit (FPC). The FPC includes a first insulating main surface, a second insulating main surface opposite the first insulating main surface, and a plurality of thermally and/or electrically conducting lines between the first insulating main surface and the second insulating main surface. Each of the conducting lines has a contact portion exposed by a contact aperture in the first insulating main surface and/or in the second insulating main surface and a connecting portion for connection to the CSC, and the flexible interconnector wraps around the battery cells such that the contact portions contact the differently-oriented surfaces of the battery cells.

摘要: A charging control method for a battery pack including a plurality of battery modules, includes: controlling charging of the battery pack in a constant current-constant voltage charging mode; changing a charging mode to a step charging mode based on a state deviation between the plurality of battery modules if a newly mounted battery module is detected from among the plurality of battery modules; controlling charging of the battery pack in the step charging mode by gradually decreasing a charging current of the battery pack if the charging mode is changed to the step charging mode; and returning the charging mode to the constant current-constant voltage charging mode based on the state deviation from among the plurality of battery modules if a full charge of the battery pack is detected during the charging in the step charging mode.
