摘要: A battery exchange system for a battery powered electric vehicle, comprising an interchangeable battery block, a battery dock defined at the underside of the electric vehicle to receive the battery block, and a battery lift for lifting the battery block underneath the electric vehicle. The battery block and the battery dock have guides adapted to mutually cooperate for guiding the battery block horizontally, and the battery lift is adapted to let the battery block move freely horizontally relative to the electric vehicle when the battery block is lifted for fitting with the battery dock.

摘要: A battery changing system includes a grasping assembly and an actuation assembly. The grasping assembly is configured to be disposed onboard a vehicle and to engage a battery box having one or more batteries disposed therein. The actuation assembly is configured to move the grasping assembly away from the vehicle toward the battery box. The actuation assembly also is configured to move the grasping assembly into engagement with a securing assembly of the battery box. The actuation assembly is configured to move the grasping assembly back toward the vehicle while the grasping assembly engages the securing assembly of the battery box to lift the battery box onto the vehicle.

摘要: Intermodal vehicles may be loaded with items and an aerial vehicle, and directed to travel to areas where demand for the items is known or anticipated. The intermodal vehicles may be coupled to locomotives, container ships, road tractors or other vehicles, and equipped with systems for loading one or more items onto the aerial vehicle, and for launching or retrieving the aerial vehicle while the intermodal vehicles are in motion. The areas where the demand is known or anticipated may be identified on any basis, including but not limited to past histories of purchases or deliveries to such areas, or events that are scheduled to occur in such areas. Additionally, intermodal vehicles may be loaded with replacement parts and/or inspection equipment, and configured to conduct repairs, servicing operations or inspections on aerial vehicles within the intermodal vehicles, while the intermodal vehicles are in motion.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed for managing personal security of a user of a vehicle. The vehicle has a plurality of active sensors. The active sensors include one or more of a first type of sensors that collect data and one or more of a second type of sensors that produce actions. The method includes receiving a first remote request at the vehicle to activate a first level of security. The first remote request is an override signal to actively inform said vehicle to set said first level of security for approaching said vehicle by said user. The method includes recording an area proximate to the vehicle using one of said first type of sensors and illuminating said area proximate to the vehicle using one of said second type of sensors in response to activating the first level of security and the recording producing a media file. The method includes transmitting the media file to Internet storage associated with an account of the user of the vehicle. The first remote request causes the recording and the transmitting.

The server is one of a plurality of servers, and the servers providing access to cloud services regarding vehicle use and metrics.

摘要: A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). Locations of collection, charging and distribution machines having available charged portable electrical energy storage devices are communicated to or acquired by a mobile device of a user, or displayed on a collection, charging and distribution machine. The locations are indicated on a graphical user interface on a map on a user's mobile device relative to the user's current location. The user may use their mobile device select particular locations on the map to reserve an available portable electrical energy storage device. The system nay also warn the user that the user is near an edge of the pre-determined area having portable electrical energy storage device collection, charging and distribution machines. Reservations may also be made automatically based on information regarding a potential route of a user.
