摘要: A vehicle power system may include a gate driver configured to drive a traction gate and a generator gate corresponding to switches of a variable voltage controller such that the gates have alternating pulse width modulation ON periods. The gates may be driven in response to a throughput magnitude falling below a threshold. The gate driver may be further configured to drive the gates such that a duty cycle of one of the gates is zero in response to the throughput exceeding the threshold.

摘要: In a control apparatus for an AC motor, a voltage waveform specifying unit of an inverter control unit specifies a voltage waveform for operating the inverter, based on a voltage vector calculated by a voltage command calculation unit. A spectrum amplitude extraction unit acquires values of bus current of the inverter and extracts the spectrum amplitude of the specific frequency that corresponds to the LC resonance frequency of the converter. A boost/non-boost state judgement unit of a converter control unit determines whether the state required by the converter in the next control cycle is the boost state or the non-boost state. When the spectrum amplitude of the specific frequency, correlated with the voltage waveform, is higher than the judgement threshold value and the converter is in the non-boost state, a voltage command value alteration unit changes the voltage command reference value such that the converter transitions to the boost state.

摘要: In a power conversion apparatus, an inverter converts a DC voltage supplied from a battery into an AC voltage, and a DC-to-DC converter steps up or down the DC voltage. A case has an input terminal to which a power line from the battery is connected so as to input the DC voltage to the inverter, and a converter input terminal to which a power line to the DC-to-DC converter is connected so as to input the DC voltage to the DC-to-DC converter. The case has a reference wall and an opposed wall opposed to each other. The inverter input terminal is disposed adjacent to the reference wall with respect to an imaginary plane that bisects the case between the reference wall and the opposed wall. The converter input terminal is disposed adjacent to the opposed wall with respect to the imaginary plane.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine, a first MG (motor generator), a second MG, a planetary gear mechanism provided among the engine, the first MG and the second MG, a battery, and an ECU. The ECU executes batteryless travel control when the battery is abnormal. The batteryless travel control includes engine F/B control for controlling a rotation speed of the engine to become a target rotation speed, and power balance control for controlling a requested driving force to be output and allowing a power generated by the first MG to become equal to a power discharged by the second MG. When the rotation speed of the engine is higher than a threshold speed higher by a prescribed value than the target rotation speed while the batteryless travel control is in execution, the ECU decreases the requested driving force.

摘要: While a current cutoff mechanism cuts off charging and discharging currents for a second electric storage device, a DC/DC converter is controlled so as to be in a state where electric power is supplied from a low-voltage side to a high-voltage side, applies voltage conversion to an input voltage of the low-voltage side so that an output voltage of the high-voltage side becomes a predetermined voltage, and after a predetermined state where the induction voltage of the AC power generator can be supplied to the low-voltage side is reached, control of the DC/DC converter is switched from the state where electric power is supplied from the low-voltage side to the high-voltage side to a state where electric power is supplied from the high-voltage side to the low-voltage side.

摘要: An electrical system for a vehicle includes a high-voltage DC power source electrically connected to a high-voltage bus, a first controller disposed to control electric power flow between the high-voltage bus and a first actuator, and a second controller disposed to control electric power flow between the high-voltage bus and a second actuator. A communication link is disposed to effect communication between the first controller and the second controller. An inertial sensor communicates with the second controller. The second controller includes an instruction set to monitor and determine a request to discharge the high-voltage bus based upon communication from the sensor. Upon determining that the first controller is incapable of discharging the high-voltage bus, the second actuator is controlled to discharge the high-voltage bus.

摘要: In a diagnostic device, a determiner determines whether a rotational speed of an AC motor is within a low rotational-speed range in which its rotational speed is approximately zero. An input-voltage estimate calculator calculates, as an input-voltage estimate, an estimate of an input voltage to an inverter when it is determined that the rotational speed of the AC motor is within the low rotational-speed range. A malfunction determiner performs a diagnostic task. The diagnostic task calculates an absolute value of a difference between an input-voltage measurement value measured by an input voltage sensor and the input-voltage estimate. The diagnostic task determines whether the absolute value of the difference is higher than a predetermined voltage threshold. The diagnostic task determines that there is a malfunction in the input voltage sensor upon determining that the absolute value of the difference is higher than the predetermined voltage threshold.

摘要: An electric propulsion system is described that includes an AC drive circuit, a synchronization circuit, and a control unit. The AC drive circuit includes a plurality of propulsor motors, an AC power bus, and an AC generator that delivers AC electrical power to the AC power bus for simultaneously driving the plurality of propulsor motors. The synchronization circuit is configured to synchronize, with the AC generator, single propulsor motor from the plurality of propulsor motors, at a time. The control unit is configured to maintain synchronicity between the single propulsor motor and the AC generator by engaging the synchronization circuit with the single propulsor motor in response to determining that the single propulsor motor is not synchronized with the AC generator.

摘要: A second power storage device is electrically connected to a positive electrode line and a negative electrode line, and electric power for generating a driving force is directly supplied to an inverter section. A converter section supplies electric power received from the inverter section to a first power storage device. Because a backflow prevention circuit is provided, the electric power is not supplied in the direction of the second power storage device at this point. A diode of the backflow prevention circuit is connected between a system main relay and the connection node of a positive electrode line on the positive electrode line branching off from the positive electrode line and connected to the second power storage device. The diode controls the flow of a current from the positive electrode line side toward the second power storage device.
