摘要： In an image-displaying screen that is formed of a plurality of plates having lens structure, the reliability of the fixing between the plurality of plates is enhanced. A screen that displays an image includes a lenticular lens plate and a Fresnel lens plate that is fixed to the lenticular lens plate by thermal welding. Because the lenticular lens plate and the Fresnel lens plate are thus fixed together by thermal welding, the fixing strength between the lenticular lens plate and the Fresnel lens plate is not deteriorated by repeated distortion of the welded portion, as would be caused by temperature variations etc. when a welding agent is used to fix them. This enhances the reliability of the fixing between the lens plates.

摘要： A method of sealing parts of a plastic capsule by forming a weld seam in an overlapping region of the parts of the capsule, wherein the capsule comprises a capsule cap having an open end and a capsule body having an open end, the method comprising: (a) holding the capsule cap and the capsule body in a capsule holder comprising a first holding part and a second holding part which can be guided synchronously with one another, wherein the first holding part interlockingly surrounds the capsule cap and the second holding part interlockingly surrounds the capsule body; (b) closing the capsule holder holding the capsule cap and the capsule body so that the open end of the capsule cap and the open end of the capsule body form a sealed cavity therebetween and form an overlapping region, wherein the overlapping region is not covered by the capsule holder, to obtain a closed capsule; and (c) welding the closed capsule using an energy beam of hot gas or laser light on the overlapping region by forming the weld seam thereon. The capsules produced by the process according to the invention are disposable capsules and preferably contain a single dose of a pharmaceutical formulation in the form of a powder or liquid suitable for inhalation and are suitable, by their form and function, for use in powder inhalers or liquid nebulizers for producing aerosols. Aerosols thus produced can be inhaled, for example, in order to administer a pharmaceutical formulation to the lungs.

The rear end part, of a metallic writing point assembly as a part of a writing instrument, which is inserted into a joint, is heated at the predetermined area (at least the fitted area in contact with the front end part of the joint), so as to weld the predetermined area of the writing point assembly to the surrounding part of the joint.

摘要： A multilayer insulation having a plurality of layers laminated together, and a plurality of depressions positioned proximate to edges of the multilayer insulation, the plurality of depressions forming insulated tabs on the multilayer insulation. An adhesive layer may be provided on one or more insulated tabs. In one embodiment, the depressions are positioned and sized to allow folding of the insulated tabs to form an integrated spacer. In another embodiment, the depressions are positioned and sized to allow receiving of an insulated tab of an adjacent insulation. In this regard, the depressions and the insulated tabs are preferably sized the same width to allow interlocking of the multilayer insulation to an adjacent multilayer insulation. A method of installing insulation is also described for providing an integrated spacer or interlocking adjacent insulation pieces. A method of manufacturing insulation with a depression that defines an insulated tab is also described.

According to the present invention there is provided an ultrasonic-welding apparatus comprising; a cradle, onto which two work pieces of to be welded and welded to are mounted in piles, and which can rotate around the axis vertical to the welding surface of said work piece of to be welded; a welding hone, which carries out welding using a supersonic in the condition of having sandwiched the two work pieces between said cradle; and a transmission-type laser sensor which measures the fixed part of the work pieces after welding by the irradiation of the laser light which runs parallel to the welding surface, and the transmission-type laser sensor measure the fixed part of the work piece after welding, which is rotating on the cradle, in the condition that the welding hone is apart from the work piece of after welding.

摘要： A process for flashless hot melt bonding of seamed flexible belts having a substrate and a seam having interlocking seam members, wherein the interlocking seam members are held together by an adhesive for use in electrostatographic, contact electrostatic, digital and other like machines, wherein the process includes: a) providing a release layer having an adhesive strip on a front side of the release layer, wherein the release layer is wider than the adhesive strip; b) providing the release layer containing the adhesive strip over the seam, wherein the front side of the release layer containing the adhesive strip is in contact with the seam and mutually mating members; c) thermal compressive adhesive bonding of the release layer to the seam, and d) optionally postcuring the seam; and wherein virtually no flashing of the adhesive outside the seam occurs.
