摘要: A method for joining a lens with a housing of a lighting device for a motor vehicle, having the steps: positioning the housing in a receiving device of a welding device, said housing having on its underside at least one fastener for attaching the lighting device in the motor vehicle, identifying the position of the at least one fastener relative to the receiving device, calculating a correction value on the basis of the identified position of the at least one fastener, and moving the lens held in a holding device of the welding device in the direction of the housing along a travel distance and welding the lens to the housing.

摘要: In a vehicle lamp of the present disclosure, a lamp body is made of an acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) resin, which has a glass transition temperature lower than that of a poly(methyl methacrylate) PMMA resin constituting a light transmissive cover. That is, with respect to the glass transition temperature Tg1 of the PMMA resin constituting the light transmissive cover, the glass transition temperature of the ASA resin constituting the lamp body is set to Tg1>Tg2. Thus, it is possible to generate not a tensile residual stress but a compressive residual stress in a welding portion between the lamp body and the light transmissive cover, thereby enhancing the solvent resistance of the light transmissive cover. And, thus, an annealing process after the welding is unnecessary, or simply performed.

摘要: An ultrasonic welding system and method for joining first and second thermoplastic parts includes least one energy director formed on at least one surface of the first thermoplastic part, with the energy director projecting from the surface of the first thermoplastic part toward an opposed surface of the second thermoplastic part. The distal end portion of the energy director has a curved or flat surface that initially engages the opposed surface of the second thermoplastic part when the first and second parts are brought into engagement with each other. The first and second thermoplastic parts are ultrasonically welded by pressing the parts together while vibrating at least the first part in a direction parallel to the direction of projection of the energy director. The energy director may include a pair of substantially flat side walls joined to opposite ends of the curved or flat end surface.

摘要: The present invention provides a vehicle lamp comprising a lens molded article (1) and a housing molded article (2) laser-welded to each other, the lens molded article (1) comprising a methacrylic resin composition which comprises 70 to 99.9% by mass of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit and 0.1 to 30% by mass of a unit of an additional vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the methacrylic acid ester monomer and satisfies conditions (a) to (c), and the housing molded article (2) comprising a resin which satisfies a condition (d): (a) MW is 90000 to 250000; (b) a mass (MFR-1) of the methacrylic resin composition emitted according to ISO1133 standard at 230° C. and 3.8 kg for 10 minutes is 0.2 to 12 g/10 min; (c) when a mass of the methacrylic resin composition emitted according to the ISO1133 standard at 230° C. and 10 kg for 10 minutes is defined as MFR-2, MFR ratio=(MFR-2)/(MFR-1) is 4.5 or more; and (d) a mass (MFR-3) of the resin emitted according to the ISO1133 standard at 220° C. and 10 kg for 10 minutes is 2 to 45 g/10 min or smaller.

摘要: Method of manufacture of an automotive light comprising the steps of providing a container body delimited by a first perimetral profile, providing a lenticular body, internally delimited by a second perimetral profile and externally by an outer edge corresponding to said second perimetral profile, wherein the container body acts as an absorbent element of the light beam and the lenticular body acts as a transmission element of the light beam, providing optical devices for changing the divergence of the portions of laser beams in output from the fibers, so as to collimate them overall along at least one predetermined optical axis. The method further comprises the steps of directing on a critical portion of the welding interface at least a first laser beam emitted by a respective fiber lying on an optical plane incident with said critical portion of the welding interface.

The enclosure, furthermore, includes a resin injection-molded fitment defining a base, a tamper-evident panel, and a neck disposed therebetween. The top end includes a rim having an inwardly facing mating surface and the base includes a rim having an outwardly facing mating surface. The canister and fitment are configured to be fused along the inwardly and outwardly facing mating surfaces subsequent to being filled with the consumer product. The tamper-evident panel is molded into the fitment during the injection molding process while the mating plane of the fitment and canister is located below the base of the fitment to optimize the opening of the canister for being filled with the consumer product.
