摘要: A method for joining a device to an object with the aid of a combination of ultrasonic vibration energy and induction heating, wherein the device includes a portion of a thermoplastic polymer and a susceptor additive wherein this portion is at least partly liquefied or plasticized through the ultrasonic vibration energy in combination with the induction heating and wherein the joining includes establishing a connection between the device and the object which connection is at least one of a positive fit connection, a weld, a press fit connection, and an adhesive connection. The induction heating is applied for rendering the device portion suitable for absorption of ultrasonic vibration energy than other device portions by raising its temperature above the glass transition temperature of the polymer. The ultrasonic vibration energy is used for liquefying or at least plasticizing the thermoplastic polymer of the named device portion.

摘要: A laser joining method and device includes a pressure-applying clamping device, which presses a first and a second workpiece against one another at least after the workpieces have been locally plasticized, and a mask having mask structures, which allow laser light to pass only in the region of the bonding contact faces, wherein at least the workpiece facing the laser source is formed by a three-dimensional molded part, which is not planar at least on the first contour side facing the clamping element and/or on the second contour side facing the second workpiece, and wherein the clamping element, with the bearing side thereof for the first workpiece, is adapted to the first contour side of the first workpiece. The mask structures are created on the bearing side of the clamping element facing the first workpiece or on the second contour side of the first workpiece facing the second workpiece.

摘要: A method for producing a tube skirt for a flexible tube, said tube skirt being manufactured from a flat strip 1 comprising a decorative film 15 superimposed on a primary film 16, said primary film 16 comprising a sealable inner layer 14 at the lower surface 20 of the strip 1 as well as two stabilizing layers 11, 13, said decorative film 15 comprising a sealable outer layer 7 at the upper surface 19 of the strip 1, and a decorative layer 8, 9. This method comprises the following steps: winding the flat strip 1 into the form of a sleeve to shape the tube skirt; superimposing a first side border 2 of the strip 1 on a second side border 2′ of the strip 1 to form an overlapping area 3, the sealable inner layer 14 of the primary film 16 of the first side border 2 overlapping the sealable outer layer 7′ of the decorative film 15′ of the second side border 2′; applying a heating temperature T2 to the inside of the tube skirt at the inner face 22 of the overlapping area 3 to produce the side weld of the tube skirt; simultaneously with the application of the heating temperature T2, applying compression between the outer 21 and inner 22 faces of the overlapping area 3 so as to finalize the side weld of the tube skirt.

摘要: A device for manufacturing a tube skirt from a flexible strip, comprising a housing, a cylindrical elongated mandrel 30, means used to advance and guide this flexible strip to shape it in the form of a sleeve around the mandrel 30, one of the side borders of this strip overlapping the other side border to form an overlapping area to be welded, an inner heating means 32 located in the mandrel 30 to heat the inner face of the overlapping area, and inner cooling means 33 located in the mandrel 30 to cool the inner face of the overlapping area and downstream from the inner heating means 32. The device is characterized in that said cooling means 33 is arranged across from the overlapping area and configured to be in direct contact with the overlapping area.

An apparatus for performing the above process is also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a thermoplastic synthetic resin product, including preparing a mold having a cavity formed in a predetermined shape; filling the cavity of the mold with a thermoplastic synthetic resin material in an amount greater than the volume of the cavity of the mold; heating the mold under pressure; releasing the pressure when the thermoplastic synthetic resin material charged in the cavity of the mold is melted by heating, and opening the mold; removing, of the melted thermoplastic synthetic resin material in the opened mold, the material other than the material charged in the cavity of the mold; placing either a fabric or a hot melt on the mold having the cavity filled with the thermoplastic synthetic resin material; and cooling the mold under pressure, thus integrating either the fabric or the hot melt with the thermoplastic synthetic resin material in contact with either the fabric or the hot melt.

摘要: A portable conveyor belt splicing apparatus is provided that includes an upper press assembly and a lower press assembly which include, respectively, upper and lower platen assemblies. The upper and lower press assemblies may each include a forced air cooling system for rapidly cooling platens of the platen assemblies. The upper and lower press assemblies may include insulating assemblies with resilient members that support the upper and lower press assemblies. The resilient members provide structural support and insulate the platens from the frame which reduces the power required to heat the platens. In one form, the apparatus includes a power supply circuit that can alternate between providing power to upper and lower heaters in response to the apparatus being connected to different types of standard power supplies. Further, the power supply circuit permits the use of a single recipe for a particular belt irrespective of the type of power supply.

摘要: A method of making a panel assembly that includes forming a thermoplastic panel, placing a thermoset portion into a pocket in a mold, placing an attachment member into the pocket in the mold, positioning the thermoplastic panel in the mold, cooling the thermoplastic panel while heating the thermoset portion to flow at least a portion of the thermoset portion into openings defined in the thermoplastic panel, and cooling the panel assembly so that the thermoset portion hardens, thereby securing the attachment member to the thermoplastic panel.
