A prop wrap in the current invention can quickly and easily change the appearance of irregularly shaped rigid props used in pageantry art shows and enable the prop to graphically integrate with the show's concept, design, and theme. The prop wrap provides a flexible film on which an infinite number of designs can be applied. These designs include but are not limited to customized patterns that integrate tightly with the shows, school mascots, or group logos. By using the prop wrap a user is not limited to solid colors or simple patterns made available by conventional methods of painting or taping props. Each piece of the prop wrap incorporates a unique cutting pattern that matches a designated surface of a specific prop, such as a particular model and size of mock rifles, shakos, or shoes. This allows the prop wrap to align perfectly to the shape and size of the prop when it is affixed to the prop. The prop wrap also serves to protect the prop itself.

The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a composite, foam/fabric material for use as protective material in products, and utilizes an apparatus which includes a punch press with punches arranged in rows and correspondingly aligned dies for receiving the punches therethrough. The system operates by punching a sheet of foam material into a plurality of discrete foam elements which are transferred onto a heated fabric substrate, and retained thereon by heat bonding. The apparatus consists, in one preferred embodiment, of a clamp plate which clamps a sheet of foam material onto a die plate, and after a punching sequence, the sheet of foam material, along with the sheet of fabric material, are indexed downstream, and the process repeats.

The method comprises an automated technique for making and inserting flexible laminate film barrier liners into the shoulder/nozzles of product tube packaging. The shoulder/nozzles are made and oriented with the shoulder opening to be facing the laminate film. The film is fed to a station that forms the nozzle aperture, die cuts the laminate film to fit into the shoulder of the shoulder/nozzle, and inserts this laminate film into the shoulder/nozzle. The laminate film can be heat bonded to the shoulder nozzle at this station or in a subsequent sealing station. After the shoulder/nozzle leaves the station that forms and inserts the laminate film into the shoulder/nozzle there can be a detection station to determine if the laminate film is properly aligned in the shoulder/nozzle. There also can be a detection station after a subsequent sealing station. Shoulder/nozzles with sealed laminate film liner are then sent to tube making. The laminate film will have a polymer layer and a barrier layer comprising ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers, polyethylene terephthalate polymers, polyethylene naphthalate polymers and acrylonitrile methyl-acrylate copolymers The tube packages produced using these shoulder/nozzles are very useful for products which contain flavorants, such as dentifrices.
