R1 is H or CN, X1 is O, S, CH2, CHF, CF2, CH(CH3), C(CH3)2 or CH(CN), and b is 1 or 2. G1 is H or a group according to the formula —CH2—X2—(CH2)a—G3 and G2 is H or a group according to the formula —CH2—(CH29a—G3, provided that one of G1 and G2 is H and the other is not H. X2 is O, S, or CH2, and a is 0, 1 or 2, provided that when a is 1 then X2 is CH2. G3 is a group according to one of general formulae 2-4, where the variables have meaning given in the description. The compounds are useful in the treatment of i.a. type 2 diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance.

摘要： A method for obtaining reversible resistance switches on a PCMO thin film when integrated with a highly crystallized seed layer includes depositing, by MOCVD, a seed layer of PCMO, in highly crystalline form, thin film, having a thickness of between about 50 Å to 300 Å, depositing a second PCMO thin film layer on the seed layer, by spin coating, having a thickness of between about 500 Å to 3000 Å, to form a combined PCMO layer; increasing the resistance of the combined PCMO film in a semiconductor device by applying a negative electric pulse of between about −4V to −5V, having a pulse width of between about 75 nsec to 1 μsec; and decreasing the resistance of the combined PCMO layer in a semiconductor device by applying a positive electric pulse of between about +2.5V to +4V, having a pulse width greater than 2.0 μsec.

摘要： The invention provides novel methods for screening a sample to select a ligand to a target of interest and for obtaining information about the ligand and its binding characteristics. Specifically, the claimed multi-dimensional methods involve combining a solution of heterogeneous ligands with the target of interest to screen the ligands on the basis of one or more binding characteristics. Ligands having the first binding characteristic bind to the target of interest thereby to form a target/ligand complex. The complex then optionally is separated from the unbound components using any of a variety of separation techniques, e.g., size exclusion. At least one of the complex or unbound components then is introduced to a second “dimension”. The second dimension is capable of separating components based upon a second binding characteristic. One then elutes the ligand having the desired binding characteristics.

摘要： Liquid personal cleansing compositions which comprise from about 1% to about 35% of encapsulated lipophilic skin moisturizing agents, from about 0.1% to about 5% of a stabilizer, from about 5% to about 30% of a lathering surfactant and water are disclosed. The encapsulated lipophilic skin moisturizing agent comprises a lipophilic skin moisturizing agent encapsulated within a complex coascervate comprising a polycation and a polyanion. The lipophilic skin moisturizing agent comprises droplets having a particle size distribution such that at least about 10% by weight of the droplets have a diameter of at least about 100 microns. The encapsulated lipophilic skin moisturizing agent is essentially free of cross-linking agent.

A natural language processing database removes ambiguities from the metadata, and the images and the metadata are stored in databases. A user formulates a search query, and natural language processing is used to determine matches between the query and the stored metadata. Images corresponding to the matches are then viewed, and desired images are selected for licensing. The license terms for selected images are displayed, and a subset of the selected images are ordered as desired by the user.

A physical plug has been designed such that when it is inserted into an RJ-11, RJ-14, or RJ-45 modular telephone jack, it locks into place and cannot be removed without the use of a specialized tool. The specialized tool then acts as a key to unlock the plug. Several different pairs of plugs and corresponding tools have been created such that there are different `locks` and `keys`.

摘要： Thermoplastic elastomer film vacuum bags are provided which readily conform to the surface contour of the workpiece at low pressures without failure. The thermoplastic elastomer film can be made into thin films which are able to withstand higher pressures and temperatures than the prior art nylon films. The films can also withstand the presence of epoxide and phenolic resins during pressure and cure without degradation. Preferred thermoplastic elastomers are block copolymers such as Hytrel. The films are pliable and can be used with minimal or no pleating.
