Abstract: Systems and methods relating to full motion video (FMV) routing in one-way transfer (OWT) systems are described herein. The present technology modifies or adds packetized elementary streams (PESs) of video streams, that are sent from the low-trust side of the OWT system, with a global unique identifier (GUID) that is used as an identifier to determine a particular destination on the high-trust side of the OWT system. The enriched video stream is then transmitted through an OWT system that provide high reliability for the enriched video stream. When the enriched video stream is received on the high-trust side, the GUID from the PES is extracted and used to identify destination addresses for destination devices in the high-trust computing environment. The video stream is then delivered to the destination devices having the corresponding destination addresses.

Abstract: A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.

Abstract: The present invention is intended to permit both real-time display of a picture represented by a non-compressed video signal on a television and display of a picture represented by a compressed video signal at any desired time by simultaneously transmitting the compressed video signal and non-compressed video signal via one interface. An STB packetizes a compressed video signal, and multiplexes the compressed video signal and a blanking signal combined with a non-compressed video signal. Thus, both the video signals are transmitted simultaneously. A picture represented by the non-compressed video signal is displayed on a television in real time. The compressed video signal is stored in a storage medium incorporated in the television, read at any user's desired time, and decoded so that a picture represented by the compressed video signal can be viewed at the user's desired time.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to signaling of picture-in-picture (PiP) in media container files and in streaming media manifest. In one aspect, signaling of PiP experience in container files are disclosed, where the PiP experience consists of two or more media tracks. A media track group is used to define a picture-in-picture experience, wherein the main media track or tracks and the substitute/overlay media tracks are defined. The PiP experience is identified with a Role scheme. The media tracks in the PiP can be decoded independently, or if the coding scheme supports, the substitute coded stream can replace the corresponding regions in the main picture stream in a merge mode, for which an order of importance of the substitute picture and the specific regions of the main picture are also signaled. In another aspect, a picture-in-picture experience may be signaled in streaming manifest. Such signaling may include identifying the adaptation sets with a picture-in-picture descriptor as well as using a role descriptor to identify the PiP experience, and further annotating the subpicture in a manifest where one or more subpictures are identified as one or more regions for substitutions.

Abstract: A system provides a transformed video stream from, a publicly or privately owned and operated camera bearing on an in-scope location vicinity, to, a responding emergency service agency (ESA). A request from an emergency services agent's display terminal includes location indicia and elicits a map of cameras bearing on the location vicinity as well as other display terminals in the area. Upon request, an application programming interface enables a video stream to comply with the privacy and access settings of the camera owner/operators. A plurality of private and public security surveillance cameras is coupled to a server. Exterior/street view video images are streamed to the server which may contact an owner for emergency access. An emergency agency vehicle at a location has a display for a selected gallery of obfuscated exterior/street views from cooperative networks of public and private security cameras bearing on the vicinity of an incident.

Abstract: A unified system of programming communication. The system encompasses the prior art (television, radio, broadcast hardcopy, computer communications, etc.) and new user specific mass media. Within the unified system, parallel processing computer systems, each having an input (e.g., 77) controlling a plurality of computers (e.g., 205), generate and output user information at receiver stations. Under broadcast control, local computers (73, 205), combine user information selectively into prior art communications to exhibit personalized mass media programming at video monitors (202), speakers (263), printers (221), etc. At intermediate transmission stations (e.g., cable television stations), signals in network broadcasts and from local inputs (74, 77, 97, 98) cause control processors (71) and computers (73) to selectively automate connection and operation of receivers (53), recorder/players (76), computers (73), generators (82), strippers (81), etc. At receiver stations, signals in received transmissions and from local inputs (225, 218, 22) cause control processors (200) and computers (205) to automate connection and operation of converters (201), tuners (215), decryptors (224), recorder/players (217), computers (205), furnaces (206), etc. Processors (71, 200) meter and monitor availability and usage of programming. A method is described for controlling a receiver station using stored data specific to a user. By receiving a computer program transmitted from a transmitter station, the computer program is stored at the receiver station. Upon execution of the computer program, the data specific to a user is processed to generate information content at an output device.
