    Abstract: A radio system includes an audio device, and a control device operatively connected to the audio device to store a first radio frequency of the audio device as a preset frequency, wherein the control device may be configured to determine whether a second broadcast signal received through a second radio frequency is equal to a first broadcast signal received through the first radio frequency stored in a preset list when the second radio frequency of the audio device is added as the preset frequency, generate the preset list including the first and second radio frequencies when the first broadcast signal is different from the second broadcast signal, and generate the preset list including the first or second radio frequency when the first and second broadcast signals are broadcast signals of a same radio broadcast.

    Abstract: A method improves audio acquisition time by nascent signal caching. The receiver system includes the processor which contains the ASRC (Arbitrary Sample Rate Converter), demodulator, channel splitter, channel decoder and middleware & application along with the secondary storage system. The nascent digital broadcast radio signal after the sample rate conversion is cached in a secondary storage and given as input to the demodulator. The demodulator starts the demodulation process over the received signal by utilizing default channel parameters and detects the channel parameters of the received signal. If the default channel parameters are different from the detected channel parameters, the demodulator starts the re-demodulation process with the detected channel parameters over the nascent digital signal cached in the secondary storage, instead of waiting for a subsequently transmitted signal, thereby improving the audio acquisition time.

    Abstract: A method performed by a radio receiver comprises: receiving digital radio broadcast (DRB) signals on respective frequency channels: acquiring a list that identifies which of the DRB signals are all-digital signals: receiving a tune command to tune to a particular DRB signal among the DRB signals; and upon determining that the particular DRB signal is an all-digital signal based on the list: playing muted audio: while playing muted audio, tuning to the particular DRB signal based on the tune command and performing digital signal acquisition of the particular DRB signal; and when the digital signal acquisition is complete, performing digital demodulation of the particular DRB signal to recover digital audio, and switching from playing muted audio to playing digital audio.

    Abstract: Large data transmission in digital radio broadcasting system and method are disclosed. A first channel information of tuned frequency indicates the availability of the data distribution table. Second channel information contains the data distribution info table (list of frequencies mapped to data chunk identifiers). Data chunks have a unique id. Digital broadcast radio receiver receives data distribution tables and parses through the currently tuned frequencies data distribution table. The receiver has information on how to collect the distributed data. Receiver uses its primary tuner to receive the data chunks in the current tuned frequency. Rest of the data chunks are collected by the background tuners in a parallel fashion by tuning to required frequencies. Once all chunks are collected, data file is reconstructed and available for presentation to the user.

    Abstract: An audio output device has a lantern part extends along a first axis, an antenna part, an audio output part, and a control part. The antenna part has a first end and a second end that are respectively connected to a first side and a second side relative to a central part of the lantern part in a first direction parallel to the first axis. A portion of the antenna part between the first end and the second end extends in the first direction and is spaced apart from the lantern part in a direction orthogonal to the first direction.     Abstract: A method for processing audio signals in a radio transmitter, includes: receiving an analog audio sample stream and a digital audio sample stream; determining offsets in time between the analog audio stream and the digital audio stream using a normalized cross-correlation of audio envelopes of the analog audio sample stream and the digital audio sample stream; filtering the determined offsets in time to produce filtered offset values; determining an alignment slip adjustment value as a function of the filtered offset values; aligning the analog audio sample stream and the digital audio sample stream using the determined alignment slip adjustment value; and generating a hybrid radio signal for broadcast that includes time-aligned analog audio and digital audio.
