    摘要: A method performed by a radio receiver comprises: receiving digital radio broadcast (DRB) signals on respective frequency channels: acquiring a list that identifies which of the DRB signals are all-digital signals: receiving a tune command to tune to a particular DRB signal among the DRB signals; and upon determining that the particular DRB signal is an all-digital signal based on the list: playing muted audio: while playing muted audio, tuning to the particular DRB signal based on the tune command and performing digital signal acquisition of the particular DRB signal; and when the digital signal acquisition is complete, performing digital demodulation of the particular DRB signal to recover digital audio, and switching from playing muted audio to playing digital audio.

    摘要: Large data transmission in digital radio broadcasting system and method are disclosed. A first channel information of tuned frequency indicates the availability of the data distribution table. Second channel information contains the data distribution info table (list of frequencies mapped to data chunk identifiers). Data chunks have a unique id. Digital broadcast radio receiver receives data distribution tables and parses through the currently tuned frequencies data distribution table. The receiver has information on how to collect the distributed data. Receiver uses its primary tuner to receive the data chunks in the current tuned frequency. Rest of the data chunks are collected by the background tuners in a parallel fashion by tuning to required frequencies. Once all chunks are collected, data file is reconstructed and available for presentation to the user.

    摘要: A reception apparatus includes a demodulation circuit configured to demodulate packets obtained with respect to each of multiple PLPs included in a broadcast signal; and a processing circuit configured to process the packets demodulated by the demodulation circuit. The demodulation circuit and the processing circuit are connected with each other via a single interface or interfaces fewer than the number of the PLPs. The demodulation circuit adds identification information to a specific packet among the packets obtained with respect to each of the PLP, the identification information identifying the PLP to which each of the packets belongs. The processing circuit identifies the PLP to which belongs each of the packets input from the demodulation circuit via the single interface or the interfaces fewer than the number of the PLPs, based on the identification information obtained from the specific packet.

    摘要: A demodulation apparatus according to the present disclosure includes an analog audio demodulator, a digital audio demodulator, a selection circuit, and a noise addition circuit. The analog audio demodulator demodulates a received signal of an analog radio broadcast wave into an analog audio signal and outputs the analog audio signal. The digital audio demodulator demodulates a received signal of a digital radio broadcast wave into a digital audio signal and outputs the digital audio signal, the analog/digital radio broadcast waves including audio signals indicative of a same content and being broadcasted simultaneously. The selection circuit selects either the analog audio signal or the digital audio signal. The noise addition circuit adds noise to the digital audio signal in a first period including a switching period for switching from a state where the analog audio signal is selected to a state where the digital audio signal is selected.
