Abstract:
A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide a so-called smart gallery that is designed to create a short summary view of a collection of content, such as photographs and video. The content can be prioritized and presented in a smart gallery user interface that includes gallery elements that can be sized in accordance with prioritized content. Prioritization can take place based on whether content is manually captured or automatically captured. Alternately or additionally, prioritization can take place based on content analysis that looks at content quality and/or objects that appear in the content.
Abstract:
A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. The mobile device is thereafter in selective communication with a server (12) that stores digital images, maintains a user profile corresponding to the user of the mobile device, and publishes digital images to at least one digital address (24, 26, 28, 30).

Abstract:
Systems and methods for sequencing electronic files include generating a first file sequence and one or more alternative file sequences. An alternative file sequence may be generated based in part on a characteristic of a file in the first sequence. The first and alternative sequences may be used in an electronic slideshow that allows a user to switch between file sequences. In some implementations, which alternative file sequences are generated may be determined based in part on a prediction of characteristics that may be of interest to a user.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal providing an image printed out through a photo printer and related information, and a method of controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a memory, a camera, a display; and a controller configured to cause the display to display a preview image of image data received via the camera and cause the display to display an indicator indicating that an image object included in the preview image corresponds to a specific image stored in the memory when the image object corresponds to the specific image, wherein the specific image has been previously printed out via a printer device.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a communicator configured to receive a first photo from a first portable apparatus and a second photo from a second portable apparatus; a display configured to display the first photo and the second photo; and a controller configured to control the display to display the first photo and the second photo all together in different sizes.
Abstract:
A system for generating and altering an image display using live camera input. A camera coupled to the display and to a controlling computer system detects a person observing the display and displays the person observing. The computer system controls the display and includes a processing system capable of modifying the captured digital image to illustrate the person using a product. The system can be disposed in a storefront window for viewing by persons in a public space and the camera is disposed to capture an image of the person in the public space.
Abstract:
An image processing system (IPS) is provided for creating a video-linked photobook. The method includes: receiving a video file including video content; processing the video file to identify a series of still image frames extracted from the video content; formatting the series of still image frames into a pictorial compilation; storing in a memory the pictorial compilation, and an association between the pictorial compilation and the video file; and transmitting from the image processing system computer-readable instructions for printing the pictorial compilation. Accordingly, images excerpted from a video file can be used to create a printed pictorial compilation. Imaging of the pictorial compilation with a smartphone/tablet PC can responsively result in display of the associated video file on the smartphone/tablet PC.
Abstract:
Provided is a system and method for managing images album-by-album. A communication terminal includes a storage device, a management unit configured to manage images stored on the storage device, album-by-album, and a loading unit configured to load images contained in an album into a server corresponding to a host system on a per album basis in response to a user's setting of sharing attribute of the album as shared with another person. An access permission to the album is granted to the another person so that the another person shares the album with the user.
