Abstract:
A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. The mobile device is thereafter in selective communication with a server (12) that stores digital images, maintains a user profile corresponding to the user of the mobile device, and publishes digital images to at least one digital address (24, 26, 28, 30).
Abstract:
A camera is configured with multiple microphones to reduce wind noise in audio data collected by the camera. The camera receives motion data, which may comprise data indicating acceleration of the camera, a plurality of video frames received by the camera, or a background level of noise associated with one or more microphones configured on the camera. The camera determines a motion vector from the motion data. The motion vector is parallel to the direction of motion of the camera. The camera selects a subset of one or more microphones in the direction of the motion vector. By recording audio data using the one or more selected microphones, the camera reduces wind noise in the audio data.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a system and method for the simultaneous capturing and storage of digital audio data in association with still image data. The captured audio clip is instantaneously associated and embedded with the photographic image, and allows for the user to digitally play back, view, and share the still image embedded with the audio clip.
Abstract:
Described herein is an IR camera that can prepare a report on-board the camera in a standard file format that is substantially universally readable by a number of receiving devices, including but not limited to computers. The report preferably includes at least one IR image, at least one visual image and a table that can be populated with the output of any of the camera's measurement functions or any parametric information (time, date, emissivity, background temperature, GPS location, etc.). The report may also include text, voice, and/or visual/graphical comments and recommendations. The comments may be added directly to the report or hyperlinked to the report.
Abstract:
A method for use with an electronic device having a memory and a processor, and an electronic device are provided. The method includes acquiring at least one image through a camera operatively coupled to the electronic device, acquiring a first sound and a second sound, which are sensed when acquiring the at least one image, through a microphone operatively coupled to the electronic device, generating first sound information corresponding to the first sound and second sound information corresponding to the second sound using the processor, and associating the at least one image with the first sound information and the second sound information and storing the at least one image in the memory.
Abstract:
A handheld imaging device includes an image sensor for sensing an image; a processor for processing the sensed image; a plurality of processing units provided in the processor, the plurality of processing units connected in parallel by a crossbar switch to form a multi-core processing unit for the processor; and an image sensor interface for converting signals from the image sensor to a format readable by the plurality of processing units, the image sensor interface sharing a wafer substrate with the processor. A transfer of data from the image sensor interface to the plurality of processing units is conducted entirely on the shared wafer substrate.
Abstract:
A device for capturing rendered text is described. The device incorporates one or more visual sensors that receive visual information as a part of capturing rendered text. The visual sensors are collectively capable of capturing both text that is permanently printed on a page, and text that is displayed transitorily on a dynamic device. The device further incorporates a visual information disposition subsystem for disposing of visual information received by the visual sensors. The device further incorporates a package that bears the visual sensors and the visual information disposition subsystem, and is suitable to be held in a human hand.
Abstract:
A showerhead for personal hygiene is provided that includes a valve actuator that is powered mechanically or electrically to provide variation in spray pattern, variation in water flow, or a combination thereof upon a user initiating valve actuator operation. A power supply, with a recharge capability for the power source, is provided of a battery-electric motor or a spring, the power supply is in mechanical communication with the actuator. A user interface includes buttons corresponding to different multimodal operational programs for the showerhead. A user programmable keypad allowing selection between different spray modes, flow rates and a combination thereof is provided within an integral showerhead housing or a remote control. A user is able to change modes without intervening manual manipulation between modes; as a result an enhanced massage experience is provided. A timed shower period, reduced water flow patterns, or a combination thereof is also provided to save water.
Abstract:
A portable handheld device includes an image sensor for capturing an image; an image sensor interface for receiving data from the image sensor; a DRAM for storing the data received by the image sensor interface; an image processor for storing the image the DRAM, the image processor including a plurality of micro-coded processing units; a central processor for instructing the image processor; and an orientation sensor for sensing a rotation of the protable handheld device at a time of sensing the image. The central processor is configured to load the plurality of micro-coded processing units of the image processor with micro-code for performing an affine transform of the data in the DRAM to rotate the data in the DRAM by a rotation corresponding to the rotation sensed by the orientation sensor.
Abstract:
An electronic camera and method of operating an electronic camera which detects whether an external device such as a personal computer is properly connected to the camera and in a state which permits communication. The camera monitors a data terminal ready (DTR) signal of an RS-232 connection in order to determine that the external device is properly connected and in a state which permits communication. Once the proper connection is detected, the camera can either transmit or receive images and/or audio from the external device. Accordingly, a specific switch which places the camera in a communication mode can be eliminated. Further, a single switch may be utilized for both controlling whether the camera records or plays images when there is no device connected, and which controls whether the camera transmits or receives images and/or audio when an external device is determined to be connected.
