Abstract: A method includes establishing, by a data logging device, a sleep mode. The method further includes receiving, by a processing module of the data logging device, a second activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a standby mode. The method further includes receiving, by the processing module, a third activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a ready mode. The method further includes receiving, by the processing module, a fourth activation command that causes the data logging device to transition to a logging mode. In the logging mode, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a log command. In response to the log command, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a measure of an environmental condition. The method further includes storing the measure of the environmental condition in memory of the data logging device.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a system and method for managing the security of an edge enclosure. The edge enclosure is deployed in a mobile environment and travels between a base location and a task location to perform a task. The task is defined and configured at a chassis manager by a management device. A server in the edge enclosure processes data associated with the task. The chassis manager detects a loss of communication between the chassis manager and the management device. The chassis manager performs a security action based on task status. The task status is either ongoing or completed. The security action performed at the edge enclosure protects the data present in the server from tampering. The management device transmits alerts to the customers of the edge enclosure after the task is completed.

Abstract: An intrusion detection circuit may use an element that produces non-repeatable values of a characteristic of the non-repeating element in order to prevent system manipulation. An information handling system may determine a first value for a first characteristic of the non-repeating element coupled to a secure boundary of the information handling system to activate the non-repeating element when the secure boundary is breached; retrieve a second value for the first characteristic of the non-repeating element, where the second value is a previous value compared to the first value; and determine whether an intrusion event occurred by comparing the first value of the first characteristic of the non-repeating element with the second value of the first characteristic of the non-repeating element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the management of the execution of resource-intensive operations within a secure element. The operation is formed of a plurality of elementary operations. In order to prevent the operation from monopolizing resources over a long period while high responsiveness of the secure element is sought, in particular in 5G-related technologies, provision is made, upon receipt of an APDU command from a host equipment, to trigger a time counter in order to determine an actual processing duration to process the APDU command. If this duration proves to be less than a predefined duration allocated to the APDU command, one or more of said elementary operations may be executed during the remaining time of said allocated duration. Upon expiry of this allocated duration, the secure element sends a response to the APDU command. The operation may thus be executed gradually without preventing the secure element from being highly responsive to received APDU commands.

Abstract: Examples provide a multi-factor device holder (MDH) for storing multi-factor authentication devices. A housing encases a set of ports configured to connect to the set of connectors on two or more multi-factor authentication devices placed within the MDH. An external port can connect the MDH to a port on a user device. A selection device, such as a user interface, enables user selection of an authentication device from the set of authentication devices. A locking mechanism secures the housing in a closed configuration to prevent unauthorized access to the authentication devices stored within the MDH. The MDH can include a user authentication device, such as a biometric reader, to authenticate a user attempting to utilize the MDH. If authorized, the selected authentication device is unlocked and provided with power. The selected authentication device transmits a code to the user device via the external port connector.

Abstract: Methods and systems for securing data processing systems are disclosed. A data processing system may be operably connected to other devices via ports. When operably connected, some devices connected via the ports may cause undesired actions to be performed. To limit physical access to the ports, a security apparatus may be used to lock the ports. The security apparatus may transition between states where it may be inserted into openings for the ports and may be locked to the openings for the ports. When so locked, physical access to the ports may be limited.

Abstract: A system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) having a housing and configured to be disposed within an interior of an autonomous vehicle. The system also includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) rigidly disposed with the housing of the ECU. The system also includes a processor configured to receive measurement data from the IMU. The IMU and the processor is powered by a battery separate from a power source of the ECU. The processor is configured to identify a tamper event of the ECU based on the measurement data from the IMU. The processor is also configured to send a signal to cause a tamper response of the tamper event.
