摘要: An electronic device, in disclosed embodiments, includes an antenna, transceiver circuitry coupled to the antenna, a memory configured to store a first operation key and instructions, and a processor coupled to the transceiver and to the memory. The processor is configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory to cause the electronic device to, in response to receiving a first transmission containing an encrypted version of a second operation key that is encrypted by the first operation key, decrypt the encrypted version of the second operation key using the first operation key to recover the second operation key, store the second operation key in the memory, transmitting, by a transmitter of the electronic device, a second transmission that contains the first operation key and a command.

摘要: Methods and apparatus provide communications among respiratory therapy device (“TD”), server and intermediary (e.g., a control device (“CTLD”) for the therapy device) to improve security. More secure communication channel(s) may be established using shared secrets derived with different channels. The communications may include transmitting therapy data from TD to server for authentication. The CTLD may receive the data and a nonce from a server. The CTLD receives from the TD a signing key dependent on the nonce and a secret shared by TD and server. The CTLD generates an authorisation code with received therapy data and the key for authentication of the data by the server upon its receipt of the code and data. The server computes (1) a key from the nonce and the secret known to TD, and (2) another authorisation code from received therapy data and the key. Data authentication may involve comparing received and computed codes.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for checking many users in to a location using a Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) beacon. The provided systems and methods may allow a BLE beacon to facilitate a check in with a remote server that processes check ins and then disconnect from the device used to check in. The device may be assigned a unique identifier that may be broadcast from the device during the check in so that the BLE beacon can quickly scan for the identifier and connect with the device based on the identifier to provide content and other information to the device.

摘要: An accessory communication control protocol can facilitate faster and more secure transmission of status updates from an accessory to a controller (or network base station). An accessory can register with a controller, where the controller can provide some subscription and key generation information to the accessory. The accessory can detect changes to characteristics of the accessory and generate a broadcast notification that includes updates to the state of the characteristic. The broadcast notification can also include a counter, a device identifier, and a key. According to timing or rules, the accessory can transmit the broadcast notification to the controller without the need to establish a secure session with the controller.

摘要: A mobile terminal capable of setting a cover sheet and a header of a fax document and causing an image forming apparatus to transmit the fax document. Cover data representative of a cover sheet is created according to the settings of a cover sheet of a fax document, and header data representative of a header is created according to the settings of a header of the fax document. Upon receipt of an instruction for transmitting a fax document from the user, the mobile terminal transmits an instruction to the image forming apparatus for reading an original and transmitting the fax document, together with transmission destination information indicative of a transmission destination to which the fax document is to be transmitted and at least one of the cover data and the header data.

摘要: A multi-modal portal system provides an authorization prior to establishing a visual interface connection between a support user or caller and a client user or receiving party. Once the caller is authorized, the caller is permitted to drop-in such that a visual interface connection is established with the receiving party. The authorization can be based on a profile configuration that indicates whether the caller has the credentials required for the visual interface. The authorization can require that a notification be sent to a trusted user or primary contact or the caller can be associated with a profile configuration that allows for a pre-authorization without requiring the notification. Also, security is enhanced by validating network devices and providing resiliency in data paths between network devices and data aggregators.

The LED based illumination source can be operated from a back-up battery source in the event that power is disrupted, can be programmed to operate autonomously, and is able to alter its behavior, based on the proximity of a controlling element. The communications and processing functions can be integrated into LED lighting household and commercial illumination devices, as well as electrical devices, such as wall outlets, light switches, plug in timers, appliances, and the like.

摘要: Methods and systems have been developed for establishing a secured connection for data transmission. A first digital certificate is generated for a non-display device. This first digital certificate verifies the identity of the non-display device and enables encrypted connections. A second digital certificate is generated for a mobile device that uses a Bluetooth wireless communications standard protocol. The second digital certificate verifies the identity of the mobile device and enables encrypted connections. The mobile device then scans for a generic attribute (GATT) Bluetooth profile of the non-display device. Upon matching GATT properties, an encrypted connection that utilizes the Bluetooth protocol is initiated between the non-display mobile devices. An encrypted data channel is established between the non-display device and the mobile device upon successfully pairing the non-display device and the mobile device by exchanging the first digital certificate and the second digital certificate for authentication and exchanging RSA encryption keys.

The present invention may be configured to receive wireless signals from a plurality of devices and identify, from the plurality of devices and based on the wireless signals, a trusted device. The present invention may be configured to receive, from another device, a secure message, where the secure message includes information identifying a vulnerability in a network to which the trusted device is connected. The present invention may be configured to establish, based on receiving the secure message and using a first wireless communication interface, a communication link with a second wireless communication interface of the trusted device to establish a wireless data channel with the trusted device and transmit, via the wireless data channel, the secure message to the trusted device.

摘要: A surgical system and a method of operating a surgical system are disclosed herein. The surgical system includes a foot-operable control device and a dongle. The foot-operable control device includes a first communication device and a radio frequency (RF) reader and communicates with a surgical console to remotely control a surgical device. The dongle includes a second communication device and an RF device and physically couples to a connection port of the surgical console to be powered through the connection port. The RF reader is configured to receive pairing information from the RF device in response to the RF device being within a threshold proximity of the RF reader. The first and second communication devices are configured to wirelessly connect based on the pairing information to thereby enable the foot-operable control device to wirelessly communicate with the surgical console to remotely control the surgical device.
