Abstract: A water tank mounting structure and a ventilation treatment apparatus for such structure. The water tank mounting structure comprises a cavity for containing a water tank and a side wall defining the cavity, wherein the side wall comprises an inner side wall spaced apart from an outer side, a first gas hole provided in the inner side wall, and a second gas hole provided in the outer side wall, both holes arranged in a staggered manner perpendicular to the side wall. The arrangement of the double-layer side wall, and the first and second gas holes in the inner and outer side walls, respectively, allows for hot gas in the cavity to be effectively removed. The staggered arrangement of the gas holes allows for water to flow downward along the side wall without invading the cavity when water enters through the second gas hole. A waterproof effect is achieved.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a continuously positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to the patient's airways includes collecting anthropometric data of a patient's face. Anticipated considerations are identified from the collected anthropometric data during use of the patient interface. The collected anthropometric data is processed to provide a transformed data set based on the anticipated considerations, the transformed data set corresponding to at least one customised patient interface component. At least one patient interface component is modelled based on the transformed data set.

Abstract: A system and method of use for an operational halotherapy device and red light device in an enclosed space. The halotherapy and red light system generally comprise a machine disposed in the enclosed space that disperses salt particles into the air, and includes a red light device that emits red light waves. The combination of both devices produces a refractory phenomenon when the red light waves make contact with the salt particles dispersed in the air to cause a plethora of multi-dimensional dispersions of light waves. Moreover, every time a salt particle makes contact with a red light wave, a portion of the wave light is absorbed by the particle and its temperature increases, lessening the moisture in the particle. The lessening of moisture in the particle dries the particle further, which enhances the therapeutic properties of the inhalable salt particle.

Abstract: A respiratory system includes a first patient interface for delivery of a flow of gases to a patient, a second patient interface for delivery of a second flow of gases to the patient, and a device that switches the system between a first respiratory mode and a second respiratory mode. In the first respiratory mode, the flow of gases are delivered to an outlet of the first patient interface when the second patient interface is absent from the patient. In the second respiratory mode the device reduces or stops delivery of the first flow of gases to the outlet of the first patient interface when the second patient interface is located together with the first patient interface upon the patient.

Abstract: Positive airway pressure (“PAP”) systems and methods are provided which supply a patient with a range of pressures for treatment when the patient is determined to be asleep, and an awake pressure for use when the patient is determined to be awake, the awake pressure configured for the comfort of the patient. The awake pressure is configured to be lower than the lower bound of the pressure range and can be a therapeutic or sub-therapeutic pressure. The PAP systems and methods disclosed herein advantageously allow for the pressure range to be tailored for effective treatment of sleep disordered breathing while allowing the awake pressure to be set for the comfort of the patient. This can advantageously increase both the efficacy of the treatment of SDB and patient compliance with the treatment.
