Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing an electromagnetic wave-shielding member that is a laminated body having a plating layer formed on a surface of a polyarylene sulfide (PAS) molded product. Provided are an electromagnetic wave-shielding member and a method for manufacturing the electromagnetic wave-shielding member including a step of roughening a surface of a molded product obtained by molding a PAS resin composition by a chemical etching treatment, and a step of subjecting the roughened surface of the molded product to a plating treatment, wherein the laminated body has a plating layer on at least two surfaces that are paired, and the PAS resin composition is obtained by mixing a PAS resin (A), a thermoplastic resin (B) other than the polyarylene sulfide resin selected from the group consisting of a thermoplastic elastomer (b1) and a hydrolyzable thermoplastic resin (b2), a carbonate (C), and a polyolefin wax (D).

Abstract: A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The polyurethane foam core has a density of 15-80 kg/m3. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article has a weight per unit area of 500-1000 g/m2 and a strength of greater than 17 N at a post-compression thickness of greater than 2 mm when tested in according with SAE J949 at 23° C.

Abstract: A building product for application to the exterior of a building. The front face of the product utilizes a first fiber sheet partially embedded within a thermoset polymer coating resin. A foamed closed cell admixture composition core with an inorganic filler overlays the thermoset polymer coating resin with the embedded fiber sheet. The admixture composition infiltrates and bonds to the portion of the fiber sheet that is not embedded within the thermoset polymer coating resin mechanically bonding to the thermoset polymer coating. A second fiber sheet overlays the admixture core and the admixture and second fiber sheet form the rear surface of the building product that is mounted adjacent the building surface.

Abstract: An interior panel for use in an aircraft cabin includes an inner core including a first surface and an opposing second surface. The interior panel also includes a first honeycomb layer coupled to the first surface and a second honeycomb layer coupled to the second surface. The inner core includes an integral forming tool configured to shape the first honeycomb layer and the second honeycomb layer. Abstract: A panel that includes at least a substrate of thermoplastic material and a top layer with a printed decor and a translucent or transparent wear layer. Abstract: A continuous process for preparing insulation panels having thick (0.2 mm to 1 mm) metal facing panels and a fiber-reinforced polymer foam core is disclosed. In the process, a bottom metal facing panel is continuously supplied. A mat of reinforcing fibers and a foamable resin composition are applied to the bottom facing panel. A flexible barrier layer is applied atop the foamable resin composition, and the assembly is passed through nip rolls to compress the assembly and force the resin composition into the fiber mat. An adhesive layer and top metallic facing layer are then applied on top of the flexible barrier layer, and the resulting assembly is gauged and cured by passing it through a double band laminator.

Abstract: A radiant barrier has a layer of a flexible polymer, such as TPO, and a layer of metallic aluminum bonded thereto. A reinforcement layer, such as a fiberglass scrim, and a layer of adhesive, such as EVA, may be used to strengthen the barrier and prevent de-lamination. LDPE may be incorporated into the TPO to increase strength. The barrier may also be a moisture barrier. The layers may be laminated by a heated roll set and the aluminum applied by vapor deposition.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a floor covering product comprises at least a first step of forming a single- or multi-layered substrate by consolidating synthetic material-based starting material. The method comprises a second step after the first step, which is performed in line with the first step. The at least one continuous film is laminated onto the substrate, and the laminating is performed by means of a belt press.
