Abstract: An anti-corrosion material and anti-corrosion method for submerged floating tunnel pipe section concrete is provided. The anti-corrosion material includes: a base layer material, a middle layer material and a surface layer material. The base layer material is an organosilicon material. The middle layer material is high-strength and high-durability fiberglass reinforced plastic. The surface layer material is a hydrophobic material. The anti-corrosion method includes: preparing fiberglass reinforced plastic; cleaning a surface of a submerged floating tunnel pipe section concrete material, preparing an organosilicon material, and coating the organosilicon material onto the surface of the pipe section concrete material; and preparing a hydrophobic material, and spray-coating the hydrophobic material onto a surface of the fiberglass reinforced plastic. The organosilicon material is adopted to improve the durability of the pipe section concrete and the bonding performance between the fiberglass reinforced plastic and the pipe section concrete.

Abstract: A composite skinned panel is disclosed which uses, in some embodiments, a combination of cementitious, insulative and ablative core materials to provide a building panel which can effectively meet a variety of different commercial, residential and marine fire codes. For example, one such fire test is an A60 fire rating (International Marine Organization (IMO) A60 Class A Bulkhead), which establishes that the panel provide 60 minutes of protection from a front side temperature of 1750° F. without raising the internal temperature more than 250° F.

Abstract: A flexible composite that can be set to become rigid or semi-rigid includes a first layer and a second layer opposing the first layer and separated from the first layer by a space. A fill material capable of setting to a rigid or semi-rigid solid is located in the space. A plurality of elements extend substantially into the space from the first layer and/or the second layer and which may pass through the opposing layer or join with other elements present in the space from an opposing layer, thereby forming linking elements for joining the layers together. The unset fill material is provided in the space at a pressure such that tension is applied one or more of the linking elements and to cause the first and/or second layers to bulge outwards relative to the longitudinal length of said one or more linking elements under tension.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fibrous mat facer for preparing a gypsum board, to a gypsum board comprising said mat facer and to a system comprising said gypsum board. The fibrous mat comprises at least one ply of a non-woven fabric, and a binder composition, wherein the binder composition represents from 10 to 40 wt % of the total weight of the mat. The binder composition comprises a copolymer comprising a co-monomer unit of a vinyl ester of an alpha branched aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, said copolymer being present in an amount from 25 to 100 wt % of the binder composition weight.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a gypsum panel and a method of making such gypsum panel. For instance, in one embodiment, the gypsum panel comprises a gypsum core and a first facing material and a second facing material sandwiching the gypsum core, wherein the gypsum core includes gypsum and one or more components of a reclaim gypsum panel, such as reclaimed gypsum and reclaimed facing material. The methods of the present invention are directed to making the aforementioned gypsum panels by providing the first facing material, providing a gypsum slurry comprising gypsum, water, and one or more components of a reclaim gypsum panel, such as reclaimed gypsum and reclaimed facing material, onto the first facing material, and providing a second facing material on the gypsum slurry.

Abstract: A continuous FRP composite fiber truss shear connector is provided. The connector includes two folding line segments I and multiple folding line segments II. Multiple folding line segments II are connected in sequence end to end, and the two folding line segments I are respectively connected to the head end of the first folding line segment II and the tail end of the last folding line segment II; and the included angle between the adjacent folding line segments II is 20°-140°. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to plaster boards and methods for making them. For example, one aspect of the disclosure is a plaster board comprising one or more continuous layers of material disposed within a body of hardened plaster material, the first side and second side of each continuous layer of material being substantially covered by the hardened plaster material. In certain such embodiments, each continuous layer of material includes a polymer (e.g., a damping polymer) disposed on a carrier sheet. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for making a plaster board that involves drying a wet body of plaster material while a continuous layer of material or precursor therefor is disposed within it.
