摘要: A water-dispersible composite structure, which comprises one or more layers, and a method of producing the same. At least a part of the layers is formed by a fibrous web or sheet containing 50-90 parts by weight of wood fibers and 10-90 parts by weight of annual or perennial plant fibers and/or 10-50 parts by weight of synthetic short-cut fibers, and 0.1-20% by weight of a binder, calculated from the weight of the fibers, and at least a part of the binder being a water-soluble polymer and another part a water dispersible binder, and the fibrous sheet or web being produced by wet forming. By means of the invention, the fibers of the composite structure can be recovered and recycled by equipment conventionally used in the paper and paperboard industry.

摘要: Multi-layer substrates comprising a top surface layer of pulp fibers, a bottom surface layer of pulp fibers, and a melted thermoplastic material layer between the pulp fiber layers, where the thermoplastic material comprises polyethylene or has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 within the temperature range of 100° F. to 350° F. The multi-layer substrate can include a cleaning composition loaded onto the multi-layer substrate, where a fluid pathway through the melted thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel from the top surface layer to the bottom surface layer. The multi-layer substrate may be void of chemical adhesives, where adhesion between the top surface layer and the thermoplastic layer, and between the bottom surface layer and the thermoplastic layer is instead provided by the thermoplastic material itself, which bonds to groups of fibers in the pulp fibers top and bottom surface layers that are in contact with the thermoplastic material as it melts.

摘要: Methods for forming multi-layer substrates including top and bottom surface layers and a melt softened thermoplastic material layer between the exterior surface layers, where the thermoplastic material includes polyethylene or has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 within the temperature range of 100° F.−350° F. The 3 (or more) layers are assembled, and heated, melt softening the thermoplastic material, causing bonding of the thermoplastic layer to the exterior surface layers. A cleaning composition may be loaded onto the multi-layer substrate, where a fluid pathway through the melted thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel between the surface layers. Adhesion between the surface layers and the thermoplastic layer is provided by the thermoplastic material itself, which bonds to groups of fibers in the surface layers. The process does not require chemical adhesives, any processing water, drying, or the like, so as to be possible with low capital investment.

摘要: A method of producing a fibrous web, according to which method a fibrous web is formed of foamed fibre dispersion, by using foam forming. According to the present invention, the foamed fibre dispersion comprises recycled textile fibres and possibly natural fibres or synthetic fibres, or a mixture thereof, in which case, of the fibres in the fibre layer, at least 30% % by weight, in particular at least 50% by weight, is sourced from recycled textile fibres. The present invention generates a product with which it is possible to replace, for example, plastic in bag and package applications. The present product is also suitable, for example, for various textile and furniture applications.

摘要: A fiber blend comprising a staple fiber formed from cellulose acetate and a binder fiber. The staple fiber has a crimp frequency of 10 to 30 crimps per inch (CPI), a cut length of 55 mm or less, and a non-round cross-sectional shape. The blend can be made into nonwoven webs for heat-bonding and subsequent use as thermal insulation in, e.g., outerwear, bedding, etc. The cellulose acetate fibers provide superior thermal insulation clo value relative to at equivalent loft.
