    摘要: An outboard motor includes a drive shaft that transmits rotational power from an engine, a shift unit provided in the middle of the drive shaft, and a water pump that feeds a coolant to the engine. The drive shaft has a first input shaft that receives rotational power transmitted from the engine and a second input shaft that receives rotational power transmitted from the first input shaft. The shift unit has an upper gear rotating in synchronization with the first input shaft, an intermediate gear meshing with the upper gear at all times, and an intermediate shaft extending to the rear side from the intermediate gear and rotating in synchronization. The oil pump as an accessory is operated by the rotational power transmitted to the intermediate shaft.

    摘要: An outboard motor includes a cooling water passage structure, in which a combustion chamber periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the combustion chamber and an exhaust port periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the exhaust port are formed in the cylinder head, a cylinder periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the cylinder is formed in the cylinder block, and an exhaust passage periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the exhaust passage is formed around the exhaust passage. The water jackets are connected such that the cooling water from the water passage will flow through the combustion chamber periphery water jacket, the exhaust port periphery water jacket, the cylinder periphery water jacket, and the exhaust passage periphery water jacket in order.

    摘要: A crankshaft lubricating oil passage structure of a V-shaped engine includes a main oil passage and a sub oil passage. The V-shaped engine includes a pair of banks. The pair of banks includes cylinders and is disposed in a V shape with respect to the crankshaft. The V bank angle as an included angle of the cylinders of the respective banks is set at a narrow angle. The main oil passage is provided between the pair of banks in the cylinder block or the crankcase. The sub oil passage extends from the main oil passage to the bearing portion of the crankshaft and guides lubricating oil to the bearing portion. The main oil passage is formed by connecting divided passage portions that are divided partway in an axial direction by an oil passage connection member that is a separate member from the cylinder block or the crankcase.

    摘要: In an exhaust passage structure in a V-type four-stroke engine of an outboard motor, an exhaust passage is connected to the respective exhaust ports of a plurality of cylinders so that a first exhaust passage portion is provided on at least one lateral side of the cylinder block in a width direction and collects exhaust gas discharged from the respective exhaust ports of the plurality of cylinder assemblies, while a second exhaust passage portion connects the first exhaust passage portion with an exhaust muffler chamber installed outside the engine, and an exhaust guiding portion is provided so as to oppose to a joint surface between the cylinder block and the cylinder head in a manner to be located in the first exhaust passage portion to guide the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust ports to a connecting portion between the first exhaust passage portion and the second exhaust passage portion.
