    摘要: An oceangoing vessel exhaust pipe coupling used to temporarily couple to an oceangoing vessel exhaust pipe. Installation and removal of the coupling only requires a simple mechanism with three translational degrees of freedom and one rotational degree of freedom, thereby enabling remote coupling. The coupling adapts to a wide array of exhaust pipe shapes and sizes. This is accomplished by a unique shape that allows stable and balanced resting position on top of an exhaust pipe as well as a two-chamber configuration, wherein the two chambers are separated by a permeable partition. Furthermore, the unique shapes of the chambers deflect the exhaust gas stream towards the outlet of the coupling, regardless of exhaust pipe style, thereby increasing capture efficiency and extending the life of an attached fabric flexible hose.

The chamber has an inlet and an outlet for the flow of coolant and contains a series of staggered baffles that define an oscillatory and circumferential flow path for the coolant between the inlet and outlet.

    摘要: An outboard engine is disclosed that includes an idling chamber that communicates with a guiding outlet of a first exhaust path and that is open to the atmosphere. The idling chamber includes a cooling water communicating path that communicates with a cooling water supplying path, and a pressure adjusting valve that opens the cooling water communicating path when the value of the water pressure in the cooling water supplying path reaches a threshold value. When the value of the water pressure in the cooling water supplying path reaches the threshold value, the pressure adjusting valve opens and a portion of cooling water is guided to the idling chamber through the cooling water communicating path.

    摘要: A control system for an outboard motor provides an EGR valve and an idle exhaust relief valve which are under the control of a controller that opens and closes the valves as a function of the rotational speed of a crankshaft of the engine. The EGR valve controls the flow of exhaust gas from an exhaust gas conduit to an air intake manifold. The idle exhaust relief valve controls the flow of exhaust gas from the exhaust conduit to a location at atmospheric pressure. In addition, the idle exhaust relief valve is used to allow air to flow from the atmosphere into the exhaust conduit when the engine is turned off.

In the exhaust system for a marine gas turbine, in which an end portion of an exhaust diffuser 2 is assembled into an exhaust chamber 1 connected with an upper exhaust eductor 4, the end portion of the exhaust diffuser 2 is disposed in the vicinity of an inlet of the exhaust chamber 1. An outlet 2a of the exhaust diffuser is slanted so that an upper portion of the outlet of an end of the exhaust diffuser is located upstream of a lower portion of the outlet. As a result, the exhaust gas may readily flow around and into the exhaust eductor 4.
