摘要: For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless communication station (STA) to determine a plurality of uplink (UL) sounding groups of STAs; transmit at least one trigger frame to at least one UL sounding group of the plurality of UL sounding groups to trigger a measurement procedure with the UL sounding group, the trigger frame including one or more Identifiers (IDs) to identify one or more STAs of the UL sounding group; to receive one or more UL Null Data Packet (NDP) sounding frames from the one or more STAs of the UL sounding group in response to the trigger frame; to transmit a downlink (DL) NDP Announcement (NDP-A) frame to the plurality of UL sounding groups; and to transmit a DL NDP sounding frame to the plurality of UL sounding groups.

摘要: A method for selecting at least one parameter for downlink data transmission with a mobile user equipment. The method is executable by a wireless communication base station having multiple antennas configured to communicate wirelessly with the mobile user equipment. The method receives an uplink probing signal from the mobile user equipment. The method determines a plurality of angles of arrival for a corresponding plurality of paths between the mobile user equipment and the multiple antennas. The method transmits a plurality of downlink probing signals directionally toward corresponding angles of arrival in the plurality of angles of arrival. Each downlink probing signal is a virtual antenna port with respect to the mobile user equipment. The method receives channel state information. The method composes at least one of a rank indicator (RI), precoding matrix indicator (PMI), or modulating and coding scheme (MCS) for downlink data transmission to the mobile user equipment.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and instructions for receiving at a user equipment (UE) of a third generation partnership project (3GPP) network an offset value selected from a plurality of offset values in downlink control information. The UE also receives one or more enhanced control channel elements (eCCEs) of an enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH). The UE may then determine an allocation of an uplink resource for a transmission on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) based at least in part on the index of a first eCCE and the offset value.

摘要: Technology for an enhanced Node B (eNB) operable to map an enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH) to physical resource blocks in a radio frame is disclosed. The eNB can map modulated symbols in the ePDCCH to at least one control channel element (CCE). The eNB can map the at least one CCE to resource elements located in a plurality of physical resource blocks that are distributed in a subframe. The eNB can apply the mapping to control data for scheduling to form an ePDCCH. The eNB can process the ePDCCH for communication to a user equipment (UE).

摘要: Embodiments of an enhanced Node B (eNB) and method for precoding with reduced quantization error are generally described herein. In some embodiments, first and second precoding-matrix indicator (PMI) reports may be received on an uplink channel and a single subband precoder matrix may be interpolated from precoding matrices indicated by both the PMI reports. Symbols for multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) beamforming may be precoded using the interpolated precoder matrix computed for single subband for a multiple user (MU)-MIMO downlink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) transmission. In some embodiments, each of the first and second PMI reports includes a PMI associated with a same subband that jointly describes a recommended precoder.

摘要: In embodiments, an evolved Node B (eNB) of a wireless communication network may configure an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) physical resource block (PRB) set for a user equipment (UE). The EPDCCH-PRB set may include a plurality of PRB-pairs. The EPDCCH-PRB set may further include a plurality of enhanced resource element groups (EREGs) organized into localized enhanced control channel elements (ECCEs) having EREGs of the same PRB-pair and distributed ECCEs having EREGs of different PRB-pairs. In some embodiments, the eNB may determine a set of distributed EPDCCH candidates for the UE from the EPDCCH-PRB set, wherein the individual distributed EPDCCH candidates include one or more of the distributed ECCEs, and wherein the set of distributed EPDCCH candidates includes at least one EREG from each of the plurality of localized ECCEs.
