Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for saving on managed resources and a device therefor. A communication method of a terminal, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the steps of: determining whether a terminal and an MME are both capable of attaching without creating a PDN connection; in case the terminal and the MME are both capable of attaching without creating a PDN connection, determining whether a condition for not creating a PDN connection is satisfied; and in case the condition for not creating a PDN connection is satisfied, transmitting, to the MME, an attach request message including information associated with a request for not creating a PDN connection.

Abstract: A system for providing small cell backhaul communication comprises a small cell backhaul network includes a plurality of small cell network nodes. At least one transceiver at each of the plurality of small cell network nodes establishes communication links with other small cell network nodes within the small cell backhaul network. A fast failover group table is located at each of the plurality of small cell network nodes. A software defined network controller controls communication link configuration by the at least one transceiver. The software defined network controller calculates for each of the communications links within the small cell backhaul network a primary link and at least one back-up link. The software defined network controller stores the calculated primary link and at least one back-up link in the fast failover group table of each of the plurality of small cell network nodes. Each of the plurality of small cell network nodes locally determining to establish the at least one back-up link responsive to a determination that the primary link is down and the stored at least one back-up link for an associated small cell network node.

Abstract: This application relates to location systems suitable for monitoring the locations of people or objects within a group. Each person or object has a master or slave unit, which has a short-range wireless transceiver. Each unit has a unique identifier, and an ad-hoc mesh network is created between the units using short-range wireless connections between the units. Each unit periodically broadcasts its ID, which is received by other in-range units, and which compiles a list of received IDs and routing data (the IDs of the other units from which each ID was received). The IDs and routing data are shared on the ad-hoc mesh network, enabling the locations of the units to be approximately triangulated by placing the master or slave units in a virtual map in which the routing data for each received ID corresponds to that of second data signal, and wherein the placement of the master or slave units in the virtual map is also correct with regard to the estimated range of each master or slave unit. Each unit is able to determine its absolute position, when required, for example, using a GPS receiver, and this can also be shared on the ad-hoc mesh network. By using primarily short-range communications, the power consumption of each unit is reduced, as well as the incidence of erroneous transmission of signals to an external or public network. However, the master unit has a long-range wireless transceiver to enable it to transmit, for example, a distress signal to an external monitoring station (62).

Abstract: A method that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining, by a system comprising a processor, interference information associated with one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs) from each base station of a plurality of base stations. Abstract: An apparatus and method for paging a UE and a communications system. The method includes: calculating a first-grade paging group index based on an inherent identity of the UE, or based on an inherent identity of the UE and a network configuration parameter; calculating a second-grade paging group index based on a network identity allocated by an MME; receiving indication information for indicating paging group indices transmitted by a base station; determining whether the information contained in the indication information is consistent with the first-grade paging group index and the second-grade paging group index; and decoding a downlink data channel to determine whether the UE is paged when it is consistent. Hence, different paging groups may have identical or approximate numbers of UEs, which may reduce a probability of “false paging” of the overall cell.
