摘要: Disclosed is a way to expand the range of Internet of Things devices in a home, office, or structure to the range of a local WiFi network. This is accomplished by generating a network bridge for the devices using machine-to-machine protocols to communicate using the WiFi network backhaul channel. Transmissions in machine-to-machine protocol are tunneled through WiFi communications and extracted by the closest access point. Access points include radios for both WiFi and machine-to-machine protocols.

摘要: Dispatch-aiding communications between computing devices of a responder and a dispatch unit include a computing device of the responder determining that an event occurred, automatically sending an indication of the event to a computing device of the dispatch unit, receiving a request for information from the computing device of the dispatch unit, obtaining the information requested by the computing device of the dispatch unit, and sending the information requested by the computing device of the dispatch unit to the computing device of the dispatch unit. The computing device of the dispatch unit sends the request for information to the computing device of the responder in response to receiving the indication of the event.

摘要: Methods and systems for providing location fencing within a controlled environment are disclosed herein. A location fencing server determines a location of a first inmate based on a first beacon device, and determines a location of a second inmate based on a second beacon device. Further, the location fencing server determines a proximity status based on the location of the first inmate and the location of the second inmate. Additionally, the location fencing server determines that the first inmate and the second inmate are in violation of a proximity policy based on the proximity status. In some embodiments, the location fencing server sends a notification to an employee device based on the violation of a proximity policy.

摘要: A server computing device configured to receive, via an anonymization network and from a first mobile computing device that determines a location from a set of locations of the first mobile computing device is within a threshold distance of an event, a proximity indication that a first user associated with the first mobile computing device is proximate to the event; in response to receiving an indication of a remittance for the event from a second user, generate an association between the remittance and the event; in response to receiving descriptive data that is descriptive of the event, send the descriptive data to a second mobile computing device of the second user; and in response to receiving an indication to release the remittance, send a message that executes a transaction that transfers at least a portion of the amount of the remittance to an account associated with the first user.

摘要: A system for determining the location of a wireless device is described, the system includes a map, a fixed beacon, a fixed sensor and a server component. The server component receives a beacon identifier and a beacon signal strength from a wireless device. A sensor is located on the map. The fixed sensor receives the beacon identifier and the sensor captures a measured sensor beacon signal strength. The sensor is communicatively coupled to the server component. The server component receives the beacon identifier and the measured sensor beacon signal strength from the fixed sensor. The server component uses the beacon identifier and the beacon signal strength communicated by the wireless device and the sensor beacon signal strength and the beacon identifier received by the sensor to determine the location of the wireless device.

摘要: Disclosed are a system and method of regulating mobile device communications while operating a motor vehicle. One example method may include determining a speed event indicating that a speed of the motor vehicle has performed at least one of exceeded a first threshold above which mobile device usage restriction policies are invoked and fallen below a second threshold allowing the mobile device restriction policies to be removed. The first threshold may be equal to or greater than the second threshold. As a result of obtaining the speed event, the method may also provide transmitting the speed event to a remote edge gateway server located remotely from the motor vehicle, which stores the speed event for reference purposes when determining a policy for routing a particular mobile device call, text message and/or mobile data session.

The method includes the steps of storing affordance preferences in a database for a plurality of portable affordance settings that may be present at a workstation, detecting a subset of affordances present within a first zone associated with the workstation, for each detected affordance in the subset, identifying an affordance setting in the database indicating a user preference, and automatically controlling settings of at least each of the detected affordances in the subset to match the user preferences for the detected affordances.

摘要: A mobile robot includes a processor connected to a memory and a wireless network circuit, for executing routines stored in the memory and commands generated by the routines and received via the wireless network circuit. The processor drives the mobile robot to a multiplicity of accessible two dimensional locations within a household, and commands an end effector, including at least one motorized actuator, to perform mechanical work in the household. A plurality of routines include a first routine which monitors a wireless local network and detects a presence of a network entity on the wireless local network, a second routine which receives a signal from a sensor detecting an action state of one of the network entities, the action state changeable between waiting and active, and a third routine which commands the end effector to change state of performing mechanical work based on the presence and on the action state.
