摘要: In a wireless communication system, a base station device communicates with a terminal device via any relay device (reconfigurable intelligent surface). The base station device stores a CSI when passing through the relay device in association with the object arrangement information. When the current object arrangement information is similar to the stored past object arrangement information, the base station device determines a relay device to be used at the present time on the basis of each CSI stored in association with the past object arrangement information. According to this, it is possible to reduce overhead for acquiring the CSI, and simultaneously execute the use determination of the plurality of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, by re-using the CSI.

摘要: In one embodiment, a controller identifies access points forming an overhead mesh of access points in an area, each access point comprising one or more directional transmitters each configured to transmit a beam cone in a substantially downward direction towards a floor of the area. The controller assigns the access points to access point groups. The controller generates communication schedules for the access points such that each access point in an access point group is on a common channel and only one of neighboring directional transmitters of access points in that group is able to transmit at any given time. The controller sends the communication schedules to the access points forming the overhead mesh of access points in the area.

摘要: Methods and systems are described for providing end-to-end beamforming. For example, end-to-end beamforming systems include end-to-end relays and ground networks to provide communications to user terminals located in user beam coverage areas. The ground segment can include geographically distributed access nodes and a central processing system. Return uplink signals, transmitted from the user terminals, have multipath induced by a plurality of receive/transmit signal paths in the end to end relay and are relayed to the ground network. The ground network, using beamformers, recovers user data streams transmitted by the user terminals from return downlink signals. The ground network, using beamformers generates forward uplink signals from appropriately weighted combinations of user data streams that, after relay by the end-end-end relay, produce forward downlink signals that combine to form user beams.

An apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a first configuration from a base station of a mobile wireless communication network, the first configuration comprising channel state information reference signal (“CSI-RS”) configuration information for amplifying and forwarding CSI-RS beams to a user equipment (“UE”) device from the repeater node. The transceiver receives a second configuration from the base station, the second configuration comprising configuration information for performing measurement and reporting of the CSI-RS beams. The transceiver receives repeater-specific CSI-RS to be forwarded to the UE device and transmits the repeater-specific CSI-RS to the UE device according to the first configuration.
