摘要: Embodiments disclosed include a method and apparatus for global traffic control and optimization for software-defined networks. In an embodiment, data traffic is optimized by distributing predefined metrics (data traffic information) to all controllers in the network. The predefined metrics are specific to local network switches and controllers, but are distributed to all peers at configurable intervals. “Local” as used herein implies one POP and its associated switch and controller. The method of distribution of local POP metrics is strictly in band using a packet as defined by the protocol used by the data network.

摘要: An integrated accessory control system can integrate functionality (services) of multiple disparate accessories and provide a unified user interface for interacting with the system via a controller device. An integrated accessory control system can include one accessory that can detect an event or action and send a notification to the controller device and at least one other accessory, such as an Internet Protocol (IP) camera, that can be operated in response to the notification. In response to the notification, a controller device can generate an integrated user interface for interacting with the accessories in the integrated accessory control system. The interface can include a live feed from the IP camera, which can provide a media stream responsive to instructions from the controller.

A method includes receiving, by a network function (NF) at registration time with a network function repository function (NRF), resource metrics and a network address for each NF registered with the NRF, invoking, by the NF, one or more network addresses to request updated resource metrics from an associated NF, starting, by the NF, a response timer for each invoked network address, stopping, by the NF, the response timer for each invoked network address upon receipt of an updated resource metrics from the associated NF, determining, by the NF, a round-trip time for each associated NF having a start time and a stop time, and determining, by the NF, a ranking for each NF based on at least one of the round-trip time and the updated resource metrics.

摘要: It is disclosed a method for transmitting a bidirectional packet flow between two nodes of a packet-switched communication network. Each node applies a respective marking value to the packets to be transmitted to the other node. Each node switches the respective marking value applicable to the packets to be transmitted to the other node upon detection that the marking value applied to the packets which are being received from the other node has been switched. Before switching its respective marking value applicable to the packets to be transmitted to the other node, one of the nodes waits a wait time TW. A measurement point placed between the two nodes may provide RTT measurements based on the detection times of the switching of the applicable marking value in the transmitted packets. However, the measurement point may provide correct RTT measurements only if it knows the value of the wait time TW.

摘要: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both. The partition into slices may be overlapping or non-overlapping, and the same slice (or the whole content) may be fetched via multiple tunnel devices.

In some examples, a computing device communicably coupled to a plurality of service endpoints that are in motion with respect to the computing device may receive data to be processed. The computing device may select, based at least in part on a communication latency of each of the plurality of service endpoints and a predicted compute latency of each of the plurality of service endpoints, a service endpoint out of the plurality of service endpoints to process the data. The computing device may send the data to the selected service endpoint for processing.

摘要: A position of a user equipment (UE) may be determined using downlink based solutions (e.g. OTDOA), uplink based solutions (e.g. UTDOA), or combined downlink and uplink based solutions (e.g. RTT). The serving gNBs may request neighboring gNBs to produce downlink reference signal transmissions to a target UE and/or measure uplink reference signal transmissions from the target UE. The serving gNB may receive the uplink reference signal measurements from neighboring gNBs and obtain an own uplink reference signal measurement and forward to the UE or another network entity all the uplink reference signal measurements. The UE may use the uplink reference signal measurements, along with the UE's own downlink reference signal measurements to determine RTTs. The serving gNBs or another entity may keep the uplink reference signal measurements and may determine RTTs after receiving the downlink reference signal measurements from the UE.
