    摘要: There is disclosed a method of operating a radio node in a wireless communication network. The method includes obtaining delay characteristic information for a set of wireless devices, the delay characteristic information for each of the set of wireless devices pertaining to one or more signaling beams of a set of signaling beams, and communicating with subgroups of wireless devices of the set of wireless devices using signaling beams selected from the set of signaling beams based on the delay characteristic information. For each subgroup, a different selected signaling beam is used for communicating. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit an encoded transmission via a broadcast to multiple user equipment (UE). Subsequently, the multiple UEs may transmit assistance information to the base station based on attempting to decode the broadcasted encoded transmission. If the decoding is unsuccessful for at least one UE, the base station may then transmit an additional encoded transmission via a unicast or multicast message to the UEs that were unsuccessful. Additionally, the base station may transmit configuration information for the multiple UEs to receive the encoded transmissions and to transmit the assistance information. For example, the configuration information may include portion information for how long the encoded transmission is transmitted via the broadcast, via the unicast, when to transmit the assistance information, etc. In some cases, the configuration information may be based on UE metrics of the multiple UEs.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided to address issues related to poor radio conditions (e.g., SS-RSRP/SS-RSRQ/SS-SINR) associated with poor coverage for user devices (e.g., user equipment (UEs)) positioned between Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) beams emitted from a cell tower. Specifically, Next Generation Node B (gNB) may identify the location of the user devices (reporting poor signal strength due to poor radio conditions) based on angle or arrival and/or timing advance. Systems and methods further include controlling a phase and amplitude of the SSB beam(s) serving the user device to improve the signal strength of these user devices experiencing poor radio conditions, until the signal strength is within/above target threshold value(s). In this manner, user coverage is improved, with the option to prioritize premium subscribers, without the need for employing a more expensive alternative (e.g., building additional cell sites and towers) for improving user coverage.

    摘要: A communications network system is disclosed. The system may include a central processing unit (CPU) in data communication with a first access point (AP) configured to enable a data communication between the CPU and a first user equipment (UE). The CPU may include a processor configured to select a first group of APs including the first AP, establish a first data communications link over a first frequency band between the CPU and the first AP, cause the first AP to establish a second data communications link over a second frequency band between the first AP and the first UE, and transmit a portion of data to the first AP over the first data communications link. The first data communications link may be a wireless data communications link. The first frequency band may include higher frequency levels than those of the second frequency band.
