Abstract: According to an aspect of an embodiment, a base station configured for beamforming estimation in a massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) radio access network (RAN) (mMIMO-RAN) may comprise a processing device and a transceiver. The processing device may be configured to compute, at the base station, a precoder based on jointly maximizing the signal with respect to noise and minimizing an interference with respect to the noise using an approximate decoder. The processing device may be configured to compute, at the base station, the precoder based on a power constraint. The processing device may be configured to generate, at the base station, the precoder for precoding a downlink signal for transmission from the base station to a user equipment (UE). The transceiver may be configured to transmit the DL signal to the UE.

Abstract: There are provided mechanisms for DPD size determination of an access node. The access node is configured for operation in a digital massive MIMO system. The access node includes a plurality of antennas, one radio chain per antenna, and one DPD per radio chain. A method is performed by the access node. The method includes obtaining channel gain estimates per each of the plurality of antennas. The method includes determining the size, in terms of number of coefficients, of each DPD according to a utility function that depends on the channel gain estimates per antenna. The method includes allocating the determined number of coefficients to each DPD.

Abstract: A transmission method for transmitting a first modulated signal and a second modulated signal in the same frequency at the same time. Each signal has been modulated according to a different modulation sheme. The transmission method applies precoding on both signals using a fixed precoding matrix, applies different power change to each signal, and regularly changes the phase of at least one of the signals, thereby improving received data signal quality for a reception device.

Abstract: A communication device for detecting an object includes a power module, an antenna array, a first sensor pad, a second sensor pad, and a control unit. Abstract: A transmission apparatus that (i) generates a Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation signal s1(t) by applying a QPSK modulation scheme to a first data sequence, (ii) generates a 16-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) modulation signal s2(t) by applying a 16-QAM modulation scheme to a second data sequence, (iii) generates a transmission signal z1(t) and a second transmission signal z2(t) by applying a phase hopping process, a precoding process, and a power adjust process to the QPSK modulation signal s1(t) and the 16-QAM modulation signal s2(t), wherein an average transmission power of the 16-QAM modulation signal s2(t) being the same as an average transmission power of the QPSK modulation signal s1(t), and (iv) transmits the transmission signal z1(t) from a first antenna at a first time and a first frequency and the second transmission signal z2(t) from a second antenna at the first time and the first frequency.
