摘要: A method for fabricating a lamination structure of a second-generation high-temperature superconducting (2G-HTS) tape is provided. Suitable lamination tapes are selected and subjected to local oxidation on side to form a locally oxidized region having a target pattern. The lamination tapes and a to-be-laminated 2G-HTS tape are sequentially arranged, where the locally-oxidized side of each of the lamination tapes faces toward the 2G-HTS tape. The lamination tapes and the to-be-laminated 2G-HTS tape are simultaneously immersed in a molten solder pool, and subjected to reel-to-reel squeezing lamination to form the desired lamination structure. A lamination structure fabricated by the method is also provided.

摘要: A tube for a heat exchanger including a tube structure made of lightweight metal alloy and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The tube further includes: a first layer of material on the outer surface of the tube structure, the first layer having different chemical composition than the tube structure, a second layer of material on the first layer of material, the second layer having different chemical composition than the tube structure and the first layer. The first layer includes metallic material having a lower galvanic potential than the tube structure. The first layer includes the deposition of zinc particles within the first layer. The deposition of zinc is not less than 3 g/m2 and not more than 7 g/m2. The second layer includes an aluminum silicon compound. The deposition of aluminum silicon compound within the second layer is not less than 14 g/m2 and not more than 16 g/m2.

摘要: Methods of preventing or reducing cutter loss in a steel body PDC drilling tool may include applying a hardfacing layer on a surface of a PDC cutter pocket to form a covered PDC cutter pocket, the hardfacing layer comprising a metal binder and coated tungsten carbide particles; and bonding a PDC cutter into the covered PDC cutter pocket with a brazing material. Steel body PDC drilling tools may include a steel body, a PDC cutter, a PDC cutter pocket, and a hardfacing layer. Methods of preventing or reducing cutter loss in a steel body PDC drilling tool may include applying a hardfacing layer on a surface of a PDC cutter pocket of the steel body PDC drilling tool; applying a coated buffering layer on the hardfacing layer to form a coated PDC cutter pocket; and bonding the PDC cutter into the coated PDC cutter pocket with a brazing material.

摘要: A method may include removing a portion of a base component adjacent to a damaged portion of the base component to define a repair portion of the base component. The base component may include a cobalt- or nickel-based superalloy, and the repair portion of the base component may include a through-hole extending from a first surface of the base component to a second surface of the base component. The method also may include forming a braze sintered preform to substantially reproduce a shape of the through-hole. The braze sintered preform may include a Ni- or Co-based alloy. The method additionally may include placing the braze sintered preform in the through-hole and heating at least the braze sintered preform to cause the braze sintered preform to join to the repair portion of the base component and change a microstructure of the braze sintered preform to a brazed and diffused microstructure.

摘要: A method for manufacturing an electrostatic chuck with multiple chucking electrodes made of ceramic pieces using metallic aluminum as the joining. The aluminum may be placed between two pieces and the assembly may be heated in the range of 770 C to 1200 C. The joining atmosphere may be non-oxygenated. After joining the exclusions in the electrode pattern may be machined by also machining through one of the plate layers. The machined exclusion slots may then be filled with epoxy or other material. An electrostatic chuck or other structure manufactured according to such methods.
