Abstract:
The disclosure includes a security system including an outdoor security device. In some embodiments, the outdoor security device comprises a housing, a light coupled to the housing and located within a hollow inner portion of the housing, and a camera and a lens coupled to the housing. In some embodiments, the security device comprises at least one directional microphone communicatively coupled to the camera and configured to determine a location of a detected sound whereby the camera performs a frame lock to capture an image associated with the detected sound.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to creating intrusion zones for security systems. For example, a network device may store data associated with an intrusion zone for an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device, the data indicating at least a conditional setting associated with the intrusion zone and at least one action that a security system is to perform based on the A/V recording and communication device detecting motion within the intrusion zone and the conditional setting being satisfied. The network device may then receive motion data from the A/V recording and communication device, the motion data indicating that the A/V recording and communication device detected the motion within the intrusion zone. Based on receiving the motion data, the network device may determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied and determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied. Based on the determinations, the network device may cause the security system to perform the at least one action, such as activating an alarm.
Abstract:
A security alert system includes a light emitting unit, an image capturing unit, a distance arithmetic unit, a multimedia player unit and an alarm generating unit, wherein the image capturing unit and the distance arithmetic unit capture and calculate varied images of a viewer and an optical pattern emitted from the light emitting unit whether the viewer is within the range of an exhibition/performance activity such that the multimedia player unit displays a corresponding exhibition/performance activity to been seen or heard by the viewer, and if the viewer approaches near a boundary line of the display content, the alarm generating unit generates an alarm signal or sound to be seen or heard by the viewer and hence providing interactive effects between the exhibition/performance activity and the viewer.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for producing images having variable lateral magnification. One example of such a method includes receiving a first image having a first level of magnification and representing a first field of view, simultaneously receiving a second image having a second level of magnification and representing a second field of view, the second level of magnification being higher than the first level of magnification and the second field of view being narrower than the first field of view, and digitally processing the first and second images to produce a composite image having a variable lateral magnification derived from the first and second levels of magnification.
Abstract:
A small wearable recall device is provided to capture images triggered by a combination of a detection of a capture condition (e.g., changes in motion, temperature or light level) followed by a relatively stable period, as detected by an accelerometer. By triggering on the combination of a detected capture condition followed by a detected stability condition, a clearer image of the environment of an interesting event is expected to be captured. The small size of the recall device makes it possible to integrate it into common portable consumer products, such as MP3 players, purses, clothing, hats, backpacks, necklaces, collars, and other human-wearable products.
Abstract:
A system for checking security of video surveillance of an area by a plurality of video units includes: (a) a respective signaling unit coupled with each of a respective signaling-equipped video unit among the plurality of video units; and (b) a control unit coupled with each respective video unit of the plurality of video units; the control unit providing an encoding arrangement for use by each respective signaling unit for emitting a predetermined signal. Each respective signaling-equipped video unit is oriented to permit at least one other video unit of the plurality of video units to receive the predetermined signal. The control unit cooperates with the plurality of video units to evaluate received the predetermined signals to effect the checking.
Abstract:
Security guards at large facilities, such as airports, monitor multiple screens that display images from individual surveillance cameras dispersed throughout the facility. If a guard zooms with a particular camera, he may lose image resolution, along with perspective on the surrounding area. Embodiments of the inventive Imaging System for Immersive Surveillance (ISIS) solve these problems by combining multiple cameras in one device. When properly mounted, example ISIS systems offer up to 360-degree, 240-megapixel views on a single screen. (Other fields of view and resolutions are also possible.) Image-stitching software merges multiple video feeds into one scene. The system also allows operators to tag and follow targets, and can monitor restricted areas and sound an alert when intruders breach them.
Abstract:
A scanning imaging apparatus including a rotatable support platform, an imaging device that is attached to the support platform; a mirror that is rotatably attached to the support platform and is configured to deflect an optical path of the imaging device; a first motor configured to continuously rotate the rotatable support platform at a first angular velocity; a second motor configured to change an angle of the mirror relative to an optical axis of the imaging device at a second relative angular velocity relative to the optical axis; and a controller configured to control the angle of the mirror so that a waveform of the angle of the mirror as a function of time does not have high frequency components.
Abstract:
A system providing a graphical user interface incorporating fisheye image data captured by a first camera using a fisheye lens is provided. The system includes a buffer configured to receive the fisheye image data corresponding to a monitored area. A processor is in communication with the buffer. The fisheye image data is transformed into panoramic view data corresponding to a panoramic view of the monitored area using a panoramic transformation process. The fisheye image data is transformed into virtual view data corresponding to a partial view of the panoramic view using a virtual view transformation process different from the panoramic view transformation process. The panoramic view data and the virtual view data are encoded for display in the graphical user interface.
Abstract:
A system for automatically expanding the zoom capability of a wide-angle video camera using images from multiple camera locations. One preferred embodiment achieves this using images from the wide-angle video camera that are analyzed to identify regions of interest (RoI). Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) controls are then sent to aim slave cameras toward the RoI. Processing circuitry is then used to replace the RoI from the wide-angle images with the higher-resolution images from one of the slave cameras. In addition, motion-detecting software can be utilized to automatically detect, track, and/or zoom in on moving objects.
