Abstract: A turbofan engine includes a first spool including a first turbine, and a first tower shaft engaged to the first spool. A second spool includes a second turbine, and a second tower shaft is engaged to the second spool. A superposition gearbox includes a sun gear, a plurality of intermediate gears engaged to the sun gear, and is supported in a carrier and a ring gear circumscribing the intermediate gears. The first tower shaft or the second tower shaft drives one of the intermediate gears. A drive motor is engaged to drive the sun gear, an inner electric motor, a stator disposed radially outside of the inner electric motor, and an outer electric motor disposed radially outside the stator. A first load on the first spool and a second load on the second spool is adjusted by operation of at least one of the inner electric motor and the outer electric motor.

Abstract: A drive arrangement of a working machine includes a differential gear, a first drive unit coupled to a first element of the differential gear, a working machine coupled to a second element of the differential gear, and a second drive unit coupled to a third element of the differential gear. The speed of the second drive unit can be superimposed on a speed that is dependent on the speed of the first drive unit, whereby the first or second drive unit can be driven at a variably adjustable speed. When a switching element is closed, an auxiliary gear stage is load-transmitting and speeds of the first and second drive units are coupled as a function of at least one transmission ratio of the auxiliary gear stage, and when the switching element is open, the auxiliary gear stage is load-free and speeds of the first and second drive units are decoupled.

Abstract: A control method of a variable speed electric motor system, which includes an electric device and a planetary gear transmission device, the control method includes: a step of accepting an instruction for a number of rotations of an output shaft; a step of calculating a number of rotations of a variable speed electric motor based on the number of rotations of the output shaft; a step of determining whether the calculated number of rotations of the variable speed electric motor is in an uncontrollable range; and a step of performing uncontrollable speed range operation for repeatedly and alternately performing a forward direction minimum rotation number instruction for driving the variable speed electric motor at a minimum number of rotations in a forward direction, and a reverse direction minimum rotation number instruction for driving the variable speed electric motor at a minimum number of rotations in a reverse direction.

Abstract: When an electrical continuously variable transmission malfunctions and the operation of an engine is stopped, an automatic transmission is caused to upshift. Therefore, when the rotation of the engine is stopped as a result of a stop of the operation, an AT input rotation speed is decreased as compared to that before it is determined that there is a malfunction in the electrical continuously variable transmission. Thus, an MG1 rotation speed is decreased in absolute value as compared to when the automatic transmission is not caused to upshift, so an overspeed of a first electric motor is prevented.

Abstract: An electric drive includes a motor assembly, an output assembly, a transmission stage and one or more power electronics units connected to one or more electric voltage sources in order to control electrical sub-phases of electric machines of the motor assembly. The electric machines have motor shafts disposed parallel to one another. The transmission stage is connected to the motor assembly and also connected to the output assembly. The transmission stage has a transmission sun connected to the output assembly and has a plurality of transmission planets each connected to a respective one of the electric machines. The transmission planets are each fixed on a respective one of the motor shafts and are disposed in an annular manner around the transmission sun and roll on the transmission sun in a torque-transmitting manner. A method for operating an electric drive and a serial hybrid drive train are also provided.

Abstract: A control device is configured to: (i) control rotation speed of internal combustion engine such that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine is increased with an increase in a traveling speed of a vehicle, (ii) execute a pseudo gear shift to control the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine such that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine is decreased to a first rotation speed, (iii) execute a mechanical gear shift to change a second gear ratio according to a gear shift line determined by the traveling speed and a value according to the acceleration request, and (iv) execute adjustment control to adjust the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine in advance in a period before executing the mechanical gear shift such that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine matches the pseudo gear shift threshold value when the mechanical gear shift is performed.

Abstract: A gear mechanism of a power train includes first and second planetary gear mechanisms, which respectively include first to third rotating elements and fourth to sixth rotating elements which are each different to each other. The transmission section transfers the drive force of the second rotating element to the fourth rotating element. A rotating shaft fixing section of a power train integrally operates the rotating shafts of the third and fifth rotating elements. A variable transmission section of a power train includes an input section where drive force is input and an output section configured to output drive force equal to or less than the input drive force. A drive force conversion control section of a controller controls the variable transmission section to enable the output of the engine to be converted to an appropriate drive force and the converted drive force to be transferred to the output shaft.
