Abstract: A vehicle shifting mechanism includes a transmission box, a gear-shifting driving unit and a gearshift lever. Through electrical connection between a manual switch and the gear-shifting driving unit, the operation of controlling the forward or reverse gear is carried out, so that the gear-shifting driving unit drives the gearshift lever to produce the action of pushing down the gear or pushing up the gear. Through an auto switch located beside the grip of the vehicle, and in cooperation with a vehicle control unit, when the auto switch is turned on to be in automatic shift mode, the vehicle control unit receives the data of the main power motor or the engine speed and torque load of the vehicle to activate the gear-shifting driving unit to drive the gearshift lever to generate a fully automatic downshifting gear or an upshifting gear and a neutral gear control.

The vehicle control device includes a gear shift member, having a parking brake keeping a vehicle in a stationary state, a drive gear keeping driving the vehicle, and a park gear keeping the vehicle in a parked state; a control switch configured to be able to control the parking brake and shift to the park gear; a control member performing following controls when the vehicle is in the parked state: when the control switch is operated for a period of time shorter than a prescribed time, the control member shifts to the park gear and executes linked parking that links an operation of the parking brake, and during the execution of the linked parking, when the control switch is operated for a period of time longer than the prescribed time, the control member releases the parking brake.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for a lane assist system that prepares the vehicle to move from a current lane to an adjacent lane. The lane assist system includes a sensor for detecting a vehicle in an adjacent lane and an electronic control unit connected to the sensor. The electronic control unit is configured to determine that the vehicle intends to move from a current lane to the adjacent lane and, in response, controls operations of an automatic transmission of the vehicle to prepare the vehicle for a lane change based on a calculated time duration for the adjacent vehicle to reach the vehicle. The electronic control unit can be further configured to command one or more indicators to be displayed at an indicator display located at a side-view mirror of the vehicle based on the determination and the calculated time duration for the adjacent vehicle to reach the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle control device includes: a gear changing part having a parking brake holding the vehicle in a stationary state, a driving gear that maintains driving the vehicle, and a parking gear that holds a parked state; a control switch disposed in the gear changing part and able to perform actuation of the parking brake and the parking gear simultaneously through an operation of pressing the control switch; a braking force holding part holding a braking force when the vehicle generates the braking force based on at least one of a driver operating a brake or operating the control switch; and a control part performing: when the control switch is pressed, performing a linked parking control so that the parking brake performs a linked actuation while the gear changing part is shifted to the parking gear. After the linked parking control ends, the holding of the braking force is released.

Abstract: Provided is a control apparatus for vehicle that improves operability for a driver. A control apparatus for vehicle switches the vehicle to a freewheeling mode in which power generated by an engine is not transmitted to drive shafts. The control apparatus for vehicle includes: a motor; a battery; friction brake equipment that generates frictional braking force on the vehicle; a temperature sensor that acquires temperature of the friction brake equipment; and a determiner that assesses the temperature of the friction brake equipment acquired by the temperature sensor. The friction brake equipment generates the friction braking force when the battery is fully charged. The freewheeling mode is deactivated in a case where the temperature of the friction brake equipment exceeds a predetermined temperature while the battery is fully charged and the vehicle is in the freewheeling mode.

Abstract: A method for controlling an internal combustion engine system so as to avoid turbo surge and/or shorten power cut off during gearshift is provided. The internal combustion engine system includes: an internal combustion engine and a gearbox operatively connected to the internal combustion engine; a turbocharging arrangement configured to provide a boost pressure of air fed to the internal combustion engine; and a control system configured to control operation of the internal combustion engine system, the method comprising: providing information about a point of time for initiating an upcoming gearshift, a target engine speed after the upcoming gearshift, iii) a target engine torque after the upcoming gearshift, and current operation conditions of the internal combustion engine system; determining, based on said information and before the upcoming gearshift is initiated, whether there is a risk of having turbo surge during the upcoming gearshift; and, if such a risk is determined, lowering the boost pressure before initiating the upcoming gearshift.

Abstract: A retrofittable remote control system is provided for enabling remote controlling of an on-board component of machine that is inherently incapable of being remote controlled. An interface control module is retrofitted on machine and is configured to communicate with off-board remote control over wireless communication channel. The interface control module detects presence of an on-board control module that communicates with the on-board component over a digital communication channel. The interface control module is configured to then establish either a digital communication link with the on-board control module or a direct Input/Output (I/O) communication link with the on-board component of the machine based on the detection. The interface control module is configured to send a control signal over either the direct I/O communication link or the digital communication channel via the detected on-board control module, for controlling the on-board component.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for clutch start control of an internal combustion engine, ICE, in a vehicle is described. When the vehicle is travelling on a road with the ICE being shut off, topographic data representative of the topography of an upcoming road segment is acquired. A driving scenario for at least a part of the upcoming road segment is predicted based on the acquired topographic data. A gear is selected based on the predicted driving scenario. The ICE is started on the selected gear before or when the vehicle reaches said part of the road segment.
