摘要: One embodiment of a trailer hitch assist system analyzes image data from a vehicle camera to detect a reference object on the ground in a first location and stores a first position, within the camera's field of view, of the reference object. The first location is directly beneath the hitch ball of the vehicle. The system analyzes additional image data to detect the reference object on the ground in a second location and stores a second position, within the camera's field of view, of the reference object. The second location is directly beneath the trailer coupler of a trailer. The system calculates a spatial relationship between the first and second locations based on the stored first and second positions and camera parameters. Based on the calculated spatial relationship, the vehicle backs autonomously to align the hitch ball and trailer coupler to permit the trailer to be hitched to the vehicle.

摘要: An electrode assembly structured for use in detecting electrodermal activity (EDA) includes a substrate, at least two separate electrodes affixed to the substrate, and a separate electrically-conductive coating covering each electrode. Each coating includes a base portion and a plurality of unit cells extending from the base portion. The unit cells combine to form a microstructure on an outer surface of the coating. Dimensions and spatial arrangements of the unit cells can be controlled to provide controlled variations along a contour defined by the microstructures, so that the contour conforms to ridges in the skin surfaces of multiple users. This increases electrical conductivity between the skin surfaces and the conductive coating, thereby enhancing electrical contact between the user and the electrodes covered by the coating.

摘要: A discrete metallic particle having a metallic material, and a coating covering at least a portion of the metallic component. The discrete metallic particle has a thickness from 50 nm to 1000 nm, and the discrete metallic particle has a skin depth δ of greater than or equal to 1.0 μm in a frequency range from 20-40 GHz. The skin depth δ is calculated by:

摘要: A fuel cell catalyst for oxygen reduction reactions including Pt—Ni—Cu nanoparticles supported on nitrogen-doped mesoporous carbon (MPC) having enhanced activity and durability, and method of making said catalyst. The catalyst is synthesized by employing a solid state chemistry method, which involves thermally pretreating a N-doped MPC to remove moisture from the surface; impregnation of metal precursors on the N-doped MPC under vacuum condition; and reducing the metal precurors in a stream of CO and H2 gas mixture.

摘要: A system can be configured to harvest energy from sound waves. The system can include a resonator and an acoustic energy harvester located in the resonator. The acoustic energy harvester can be configured to convert acoustic energy into electrical energy. In some instances, the resonator can be a central resonator, and a plurality of surrounding resonators can be arrayed about the central resonator. The surrounding resonators do not include an acoustic energy harvester.
