Abstract: A control device associated with an autonomous vehicle receives sensor data and detects that the autonomous vehicle is approaching a railroad crossing based on the sensor data. The control device determines that no train is approaching the railroad crossing from the sensor data. The control device detects an indication of a stopped vehicle in front of the autonomous vehicle and behind the railroad crossing. The control device determines whether the stopped vehicle is associated with a mandatory stop rule. The mandatory stop rule indicates vehicles carrying hazardous materials have to stop behind the railroad crossing even when no train is approaching or traveling through the railroad crossing. If it is determined that the stopped vehicle is associated with the mandatory stop rule, the control device waits behind the stopped vehicle until the stopped vehicle crosses the railroad crossing and instructs the autonomous vehicle to cross the railroad.

Abstract: A method for, during creep mode, performing gearshift in a vehicle powertrain comprising a combustion engine, a gearbox, and a clutch is provided. The method comprises, in response to a request for gearshift, disconnecting the combustion engine from the gearbox by opening the clutch. The method further comprises, when the combustion engine is disconnected from the gearbox, shifting the gearbox and controlling the speed of the combustion engine to a target speed. Said target speed constitutes a combustion engine speed corresponding a desired combustion engine torque for completing a torque ramp during closing of the clutch. The method further comprises connecting the combustion engine to the gearbox by closing the clutch. A control device configured to perform the method and a vehicle comprising the control device are also provided.

Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus output a packing hydraulic-pressure command value and a cranking hydraulic-pressure command value higher than the packing hydraulic-pressure command value. The packing hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted to place a clutch in a pack-clearance-elimination completion state in a process of switching of the clutch from a released state to an engaged state. The cranking hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted, after elapse of a predetermined time required to place the clutch in the pack-clearance-elimination completion state, to cause the clutch to transmit a cranking torque required by a cranking by which a rotational speed of an engine is increased. In a case in which it is determined that a request to increase a vehicle power performance during output of the packing hydraulic-pressure command value, the cranking hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted in place of the packing hydraulic-pressure command value even before the elapse of the predetermined time.
