摘要: An electric drive system for a motor vehicle includes a first electric machine having a first rotor, a differential having a differential input shaft and a first differential output shaft and a second differential output shaft. The two differential output shafts are arranged coaxially with respect to the first rotor. A first side shaft is coupled to the first differential output shaft for conjoint rotation. A second side shaft is coupled, or is couplable, to the second differential output shaft for conjoint rotation. A second electric machine has a second rotor arranged coaxially with respect to the first rotor. A first switching element is configured to couple the first rotor to the first side shaft for conjoint rotation. A second switching element is configured to couple the second rotor to the second side shaft for conjoint rotation. The first rotor is coupled, or couplable, to the differential input shaft for conjoint rotation.

摘要: A vehicle includes first and second drive units, such as drive units that each include an electric motor and a gear train coupling the electric motor to one or more wheels. A first drive unit may be idled while the second drive unit continues to induce movement of the vehicle. Losses within the first drive unit while idled may be reduced by heating the first drive unit, such as with heat generated by the second drive unit. A cooling system is present and may be used to heat the first drive unit by directing fluid exiting the second drive unit into the first drive unit before entering the cooling system or bypassing the cooling system entirely. Oil circulation within the first drive unit may facilitate heating of the gear train by bypassing a heat exchanger receiving the oil and the fluid.

摘要: State of art techniques utilize active systems for stronger suction in surface crawlers while the passive approaches have limitation in providing consistent grip while moving across curved surfaces or dents. Embodiments herein provide an autonomous surface crawling robot for crawling over surfaces using electro-mechanical assembly for creating strong suction force and enabling the robot to smoothly crawl over flat surfaces, horizontal/vertical/inclined surfaces, curved surfaces, and surfaces with dents. Battery powered motors are used for only mobilization, while mechanical assembly generates suction to provide consistent grip across different type of surfaces. A dual flexible cam profile assembly including a cam profile and a guide rail generates required suction and addresses the technical challenge of maintaining suction across varying surfaces without using external power for suction generation. The dual flexible cam profile provides a robust, less prone to error or slippage type passive crawler mechanism, with consistent grip across uneven the surface.

摘要: An electric drive unit and method of assembling the same is disclosed. The electric drive unit includes a rotor having a rotor shaft, and gear shaft, where the rotor shaft is inserted into the gear shaft. The gear shaft is supported by two bearings, while the rotor shaft supported directly at one end by a bearing and at the other by the gear shaft. A wave spring is also disclosed that provides an axial loading to the rotor shaft. Also disclosed is a balancing ring secured to an end of the rotor via a locknut. The balancing ring can be machined in order to balance the rotor. The rotor shaft can be connected to the gear shaft via a spline connection. The rotor shaft can bear against the gear shaft via a pilot journal and pilot bore defined on the rotor shaft and gear shaft respectively.
