摘要: Dimeric and trimeric nucleic acid dyes, and associated systems and methods are provided. Such a dye may form a hairpin-like structure that enables it to stain nucleic acids via a release-on-demand mechanism, for example. Such a dye may have low background fluorescence in the absence of nucleic acids and high fluorescence in the presence of nucleic acids, upon binding therewith, for example. A dye provided herein may be useful in a variety of applications, such as in DNA quantitation in real-time PCR, for example.

摘要: The present invention relates to a new class of substituted aza-triangulenium fluorescent dyes having a hydroxy group attached to an aryl as quenching group. The new substituted aza-triangulenium fluorescent dyes may be attached to a linker, conjugated to carrier molecule such as e.g. a protein, a nucleic acid, a lipid, or a saccharide, or deposited or immobilised on solid support materials. The substituted aza-triangulenium fluorescent dyes are useful for various purposes, including use in sensors for monitoring or determining the concentration of analytes, such as H+(pH), Na+, K+, Ca2+, O2, CO2, H2O2, ionic strength, redox potentials, metal ions, and metabolites.

摘要: Methods, reagents, kits and systems are disclosed for determining an analyte in a sample suspected of containing the analyte where all reagents are soluble in aqueous solution. One assay method includes treating a sample suspected of containing the analyte under conditions such that if the analyte is present, an activator is brought into reactive configuration with a chemiluminescent compound to activates it. The sample is also treated with an agent to reduce signal not related to analyte. Finally, the sample is treated with a trigger solution thereby producing light from the activated chemiluminescent compound. No reagents are associated with a surface or other solid phase.

摘要: The present invention provides systems and methods for production of activatable diazo-derivatives for use in labeling nucleotides. Labeling nucleotides is accomplished by contacting a stable hydrazide derivative of a detectable moiety with an activating polymer reagent which is used to directly label the nucleotide sample. Labeling occurs on the phosphate backbone of the nucleotide which does not perturb hybridization of the labeled nucleotide with its anti-sense strand. Since the method involves direct labeling, all types of nucleotides can be labeled without prior amplification or alteration.
