Abstract: The invention relates to stabilizer compositions for polymers such as polyolefin polymers, which decrease a phosphorus based stabilizer content necessary to stabilize the polymer. The premixed stabilizer compositions include an antacid, an organic acid-metal salt, and a primary antioxidant such as a sterically-hindered phenolic compound, a sterically-hindered amine compound, a hydroxylamine compound, and combinations thereof. The premixed stabilizer may further include a portion of the phosphorus based stabilizer content necessary to stabilize the polymer. The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of the stabilized polymer compositions provided by the use thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin composition. The composition comprises from about 20 wt. % to about 70 wt. % of a thermosetting resin, from about 1 wt. % to about 30 wt. % of a curing agent, from about 0 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of an accelerant, a tungsten compound, and an inorganic filler. A prepreg may be prepared in an impregnation manner or a coating product may be prepared in a coating manner. The composition may decrease the thermal expansion coefficient of laminates and may effectively block UV light and decrease the light transmissivity.

Abstract: To provide a method for producing a liquid composition or a coating liquid for forming a catalyst layer, which can make cracking less likely to occur at the time of forming a solid polymer electrolyte membrane or a catalyst layer; and a method for producing a membrane electrode assembly, which can make cracking less likely to occur at the time of forming the catalyst layer or the solid polymer electrolyte membrane. This liquid composition is prepared by dispersing in a medium containing water and a hydrocarbon-type alcohol a polymer (x) having a structural unit having a ring structure and a structural unit having an ion exchange group, or a polymer (y) having either one or both of a structural unit having two ion-exchange groups in a pendant group and a structural unit having one ion exchange group in a short-chain pendant group, to prepare a dispersion in which the concentration of the polymer (x) or the polymer (y) is from 10 to 26 mass %, and mixing the dispersion and a fluorinated solvent so that the sum of the concentration of the polymer (x) or the polymer (y) and the concentration of the fluorinated solvent becomes to be from 12 to 35 mass %.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an anti-reflective film including: a hard coating layer; and a low-refractive layer containing a binder resin, and hollow inorganic nanoparticles and solid inorganic nanoparticles which are dispersed in the binder resin, wherein the low-refractive layer includes a first layer containing at least 70 vol % of the entire solid inorganic nanoparticles and a second layer containing at least 70 vol % of the entire hollow inorganic nanoparticles, and at the time of fitting polarization ellipticity measured by ellipsometry for the first layer or/and the second layer included in the low-refractive layer using a Cauchy model represented by the following General Equation 1, the second layer satisfies a predetermined condition.

Abstract: The present teachings relate generally to a one part room temperature curable composition. e.g., a one-part epoxy-based adhesive precursor composition. The composition may include an epoxy resin, and a filler. The composition may include a flame retardant sufficient so that when the adhesive precursor composition is cored, it meets applicable requirements for flame retardancy of 14 C.F.R. §25.853 for aircraft inferior cabins. An amount of a curing agent may be included. The selection of the epoxy resin, curing agent, or both, may afford curing with or without the need for an application of heat. The epoxy resin, the filler, any flame retardant and the curing agent are admixed to define a substantially homogenous admixture, thereby defining a mass of adhesive precursor.
