摘要: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a dry-type lubricant for use in a dry product hopper to help improve dry product flow and to improve anti-jamming properties of the dry product. The example lubricant can comprise a hydrophilic fiber, such as cellulose, having a width to length aspect ratio that provides a thin fiber. A plurality of hydrophobic particles are deposited on the surface of the fiber, resulting in a fiber surface exhibiting amphiphobic properties. Further, the fiber can operably absorb water, and then releases the absorbed water to the surface of the fiber under mechanical stress, such as when mixed with a product in a hopper. This can result in the water being disposed on the surface of the fiber, to provide lubrication to a product in a hopper to improve flow and anti-jamming characteristics of the product in the hopper.

摘要: The present invention in multiple embodiments is directed to amphipathic pigment extenders or fillers comprising silane treated anhydrous kaolin or other minerals that are similarly treated with silane surface modifiers having a cured carbon to nitrogen ratio range of from 9 to 18, and coatings containing the amphipathic pigment extenders or fillers, as well as methods of forming such materials. These surface modified materials are useful in a variety of applications including as pigment extenders or fillers in paints and other coatings with good wetting characteristics, opacity, resistance to staining, resistance to abrasive scrubbing, ability to “self-prime” over porous surfaces, and overall water resistance as well as low to no nuisance dust.

摘要: A reinforced polyolefin composite is provided. The reinforced polyolefin composite comprises a polyolefin such as polyethylene or polypropylene, a rigid fibre micro filler such as glass fiber, carbon or cellulosic fibers, and at least one nano filler such as clay. The reinforced polyolefin composite may also comprise a modified polyolefin, which has a polar functional group such as maleate monoester, an acid anhydride or an acrylate grafted thereon. The clay nano filler may also be modified with an organosilane. The reinforced polyolefin composite may also comprise a stabilizer or other additives. A method of producing the reinforced polyolefin composite is also provided, comprising mixing a polyolefin, a rigid micro filler and at least one nano filler to form a mixture, melting the mixture and kneading the melted mixture. The obtained reinforced polyolefin composite is used in transportation, infrastructure, consumer goods and construction.

摘要: Herein presented is a high electrical conductivity, uniform, material based on nanoparticles-Li+-polycarboxylate grafted few-layer graphene oxide including perovskite type nanoparticles for filler in polymeric matrices, in direct and reverse osmosis membranes, in lithium batteries, among others. The material is obtained by a method comprising the step of: preparation of a composite material having polymers with mono- or di-acid groups covalently bonded to graphene; optionally further comprising the preparation of a composite material with graphene covalently bonded to polymers having mono- or di-acid groups that have been replaced by lithium ion; and optionally further comprising the preparation of a composite material with graphene covalently bonded to polymers having mono- or di-acid groups that have been replaced by lithium ion in addition to grafted nanoparticles, including nanoparticles perovskite type.
