摘要: A polymer brush includes a substrate material, a polymerization initiator layer containing a hydrolysis and condensation polymerization polymer comprising a first organosilane and a metal alkoxide on a surface of said substrate material, and polymer chains extending from a surface of the polymerization initiator layer. The first organosilane is a polymerization initiator group-containing organosilane having the following formula (I): X—R1-Ph-(R2)m—Si—R3nR43-n . . . (I) where X stands for a halogen atom, R1 stands for an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, Ph stands for a phenylene group, R2 stands for a C1 to C10 alkylene group optionally via an oxygen atom, R3 stands for an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or chloro group, R4 stands for an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, m is 0 or 1, n is 1, 2 or 3.

摘要: Disclosed is an amphiphilic multifunctional hybrid nanoparticle. The nanoparticle of the present invention has a detachable hydrophilic organic polymer with both a water-soluble long chain and a hydrophobic long hydrocarbon functional group attached to the surface, wherein the body of the nanoparticle is a silica or an organofunctional group substituted silica or an organofunctional group substituted silicon-oxygen bond network, and the nanoparticle contains a free organosiloxane with hydrophobic long hydrocarbon functional groups and a fatty acid or fatty acid ester or aluminum complex of fatty acid with hydrophobic long hydrocarbon functional groups. The nanoparticle can reduce the water permeability of the cement-based material; the cement-based material has the internal hydration products and interfaces are hydrophobized, further reducing the possibility that the harmful particles erode the cement-based material through moisture penetration; furthermore, Si—Al oxides participate is beneficial to the improvement of its mechanical properties.

摘要: A composition of matter including a mono-facial polymer-grafted graphene particle and an aqueous-based drilling fluid is provided. In the composition, a first side of the graphene particle has a grafted polymer. A method of lubricating a tool surface using the composition of matter is also provided. The method includes providing an aqueous-based drilling fluid, the aqueous-based drilling fluid having a mono-facial polymer-grafted graphene particle, and introducing the aqueous-based drilling fluid into a wellbore such that it contacts a tool surface to form a coated tool. A drilling tool having a mono-facial polymer-grafted graphene particle adhered to its surface is also provided.

The nano particle has a shell covering parts of the surface of the core, and acrylate groups grafted to the surface of the core.

摘要: A method for producing a nanocomposite sorbent comprising carbon nanotube-grafted acrylic acid/acrylamide copolymer which involves copolymerization of acrylic acid and acrylamide in the presence of an aqueous dispersion of carbon nanotubes. The method yields a nanocomposite sorbent material having a reversible adsorption capacity phenol of 5 to 2500 μg of phenol per mg of nanocomposite sorbent. Also disclosed is a method for removing organic pollutants from water using the nanocomposite sorbent.

A method of using an oil-based drilling fluid is also provided. The drilling fluid includes a polymer-grafted graphene particle and oil-based drilling fluid. At least one side of the graphene particle comprises a grafted polymer. The oil-based drilling fluid includes a range of from about 0.01 ppb to 10 ppb of the polymer-grafted graphene particle.
