摘要: Two-part condensation curable silicone compositions and their applications are provided. Also provided is a new titanium-based reaction product, which, because of its incorporation as a catalyst, is able to provide compositions having both improved stability in the presence of water and accelerated cure processes when compared to conventional titanium catalysts. The titanium-based reaction product is obtained or obtainable from a process comprising the steps of: (i) mixing a first ingredient, an alkoxy titanium compound having from 2 to 4 alkoxy groups with a second ingredient, a linear or branched polydiorganosiloxane polymer having at least two terminal silanol groups per molecule; (ii) enabling the first and second ingredients to react together by stirring under vacuum to form a reaction product; and collecting the reaction product of step (ii).

摘要: An aqueous composition including: a) at least one epoxy silane containing at least one epoxy group and at least one hydrolysable group bound to Si, b) at least one non-ionic wetting agent and either c1) between 0.2 and 2 wt. % of at least one mercapto silane containing at least one mercapto group and at least one hydrolysable group bound to Si, and as many water-soluble acids as required for the pH of resulting composition to be between 1 and 6, on the condition that epoxy silane content amounts to between 0.2 and 1 wt. %, or c2) between 0.1 and 1 wt. % of a water-soluble organotitanate, in relation to entire weight of aqueous composition, and as many water-soluble bases as required for the pH of resulting composition to be between 8 and 14, on the condition that the epoxy silane content amounts to between 0.2 and 0.5 wt. %.

In one method, a porous zirconia ceramic structure is shaped in the form of a dental prosthesis, and then infiltrated with a molybdenum-containing composition, before sintering to densify the ceramic structure.

摘要: Aspects described herein generally relate to a sol-gel that is the reaction product of an organosilane, a metal alkoxide, an acid, and chromium (III) salt and/or a lanthanide salt having a solubility of about 1 gram or greater per gram of sol-gel at 23° C. The lanthanide salt includes a cation and a ligand. The cation can be lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, scandium, yttrium, cobalt, calcium, strontium, barium, and zirconium. A ligand can be a nitrate, a trifluoromethane sulfonate, a sulfate, a phosphate, a hydroxide, or hydrate forms thereof. The chromium (III) salt includes a cation and a ligand. The cation is chromium (III) and the ligand can be a nitrate, a trifluoromethane sulfonate, a sulfate, a phosphate, a hydroxide, or hydrate forms thereof.

摘要: A catalyst system comprising a combination of: 1) one or more catalyst compounds comprising at least one nitrogen linkage; 2) a support comprising an organosilica material, which is a mesoporous organosilica material; and 3) an optional activator. Useful catalysts include pyridyldiamido transition metal complexes, HN5 compounds, and bis(imino)pyridyl complexes. The organosilica material is a polymer of at least one monomer of Formula [Z1OZ2SiCH2]3(1), where Z1 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4alkyl group, or a bond to a silicon atom of another monomer and Z2 represents a hydroxyl group, a C1-C4alkoxy group, a C1-C6 alkyl group, or an oxygen atom bonded to a silicon atom of another monomer. This invention further relates to processes to polymerize olefins comprising contacting one or more olefins with the above catalyst system.

摘要: Methods and formulations for modified silicone resins of Formula (II) are presented. Formula (II) comprises at least one of each of the following subunits: The R1, R2, R3, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12 and R13 are each independently selected from a group consisting of H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, and aryl. The X is selected from a group consisting of arylene, transition metal, inorganic oxide, and silsesquioxane. The values of t ranges from 1 to 10, y ranges from 1 to 200 and z ranges from 1 to 1,000. The elastomeric materials prepared from modified silicone resins display robust mechanical properties following prolonged exposure to high temperatures (e.g., 316° C. or higher).
