摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a shaped composite article comprising a polymer composition and carbon particles being carbon nanotubes or graphene, said polymer composition comprising a mixture of a first polymer and a second polymer, and the composite article comprises from 0.01 to 4% by weight of carbon particles based on the total weight of the composite article as determined according to ISO 11358, characterized in that said process comprises the steps of providing a masterbatch comprising the first polymer and at least 5% of carbon particles by weight of the masterbatch as determined according to ISO 11358, providing the second polymer, and blending and shaping, in the same step, the masterbatch and the second polymer in a single extrusion or injection moulding device to form said shaped composite article.

摘要: Embodiments of monolayer and multilayer films which provide an improved matte surface are disclosed. The monolayer film or an outer layer of the multilayer films comprise greater than 50% by weight of a first polyethylene having a density of at least 0.935 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of 0.9 g/10 minutes or less, and less than 50% by weight of a second polyethylene having a density less 0.935 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of 20 g/10 minutes or less, wherein the film exhibits an external gloss of less than 20 units when measured at 45 according to ASTM D2457 and a haze greater than 60% when measured according to ASTM D1003.

摘要: A film layer having a micro-textured surface is provided. The film layer has a continuous phase with one or more thermoplastic polymers, wherein at least one of the thermoplastic polymers is a low-modulus polymer having a 2% secant modulus of less than or equal to 140 MPa, and the film has from 10 wt % to 100 wt % of the low modulus thermoplastic polymer. The film layer also has a discrete phase with from 5 wt % to 45 wt % of a thermoplastic starch.

摘要: Disclosed is a thermally expandable composition, comprising at least one polymer P, cross-linkable by peroxide, and between 1 wt.-% and 2.5 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the composition, of at least one acrylate A, and between 0.2 wt.-% and 2.5 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the composition, of at least one peroxide, and at least one blowing agent, characterised in that the equivalent ratio of said peroxide to said acrylate A is between 0.01 and 0.5, preferably between 0.13 and 0.41, and the weight ratio of said peroxide to said acrylate A is lower than 0.33 and said polymer P comprises or essentially consists of at least two polymers PI and P2, wherein PI exhibits a melt flow index (MFI) of between 100 and 200 g/10 min, and P2 exhibits a melt flow index of between 0.1 and 60 g/10 min, wherein MFI is determined by ASTM D1238. The thermally expandable composition shows excellent properties in terms of expansion stability and minimised buckling and is especially suitable for baffle and/or reinforcement elements, e.g. in automotive manufacturing.

摘要: Interpenetrated polyolefin network for use in recovering or containing hydrocarbons such as hydrocarbons contained in oil, are disclosed. Advantageously, the interpenetrated polyolefin networks absorb the hydrocarbon, including viscous hydrocarbons and crude oils, to form a gel that can be collected and processed by heat to release the collected hydrocarbons.
