摘要: A powertrain system for a vehicle includes an electric power source having a first motor configured to provide a first amount of torque to the vehicle and a second motor configured to provide a second amount of torque to the vehicle different from the first amount of torque. The system further includes one or more attachable electric power gear assemblies configured to couple the two or more motors to a propeller shaft for providing the torque to the vehicle. The system includes an electronic control unit coupled to the electric power source and configured to dynamically activate or deactivate each of the first or second motors based on one or more operating conditions of the vehicle. The first and second motors comprises at least one of a same number of poles or a same number of phases.

摘要: A vehicle includes a windshield having an integral pressure sensor. A signal from the pressure sensor is used to identify an impact against the windshield as a stone impact. Responsive to identifying the stone impact, identifying any large truck located within a predetermined radius of the vehicle. Responsive to identifying a large truck, the vehicle is directed to make an evasive maneuver to avoid stones dropped or thrown by the large truck.

摘要: A system according to the present disclosure includes a trailer distance module, a trailer contact module, a trailer distance module, and at least one of a driver warning module, a brake control module, and a steering control module. The trailer distance module determines a distance from a cab of a truck to a fifth wheel trailer attached to the truck based on an input from a sensor. The trailer contact module identifies potential contact between the trailer and the truck cab based on the cab-to-trailer distance. The driver warning module warns a driver of the potential contact. The brake control module applies a brake of at least one of the truck and the trailer when potential contact is identified. The steering control module increases an amount of driver effort required to steer the truck in at least one direction when potential contact is identified.

摘要: The present invention provides a retrofit system for configuring a vehicle into a hybrid electric vehicle or electric vehicle. The system comprises an electric power source (EPS) comprising one or more motors to provide fail safe torque to the vehicle and harness braking energy for charging one or more batteries, one or more attachable electric power gear assemblies (EPGA) configured to couple the one or more motors to a propeller shaft for providing the torque to the vehicle, and an electronic control unit coupled to the electric power source (EPS) for dynamically controlling functioning of the one or more motors based on the running conditions to drive the vehicle. The system comprises of a motor controller to control functioning of one or more motors. The motor controller actuates one or more motors based on the torque and power required to drive the vehicle.

摘要: A motor vehicle includes a plurality of sensors, a wireless communication unit, and a control device that is configured to receive data from the plurality of sensors and via the wireless communication unit relating to at least one of an environmental condition, a mechanical condition and a health-rated condition. The control unit formats the received data into a predetermined format corresponding to at least one detected condition, and compares the at least one detected condition to a plurality of known conditions. The control unit is further configured to identify a detected known condition when the at least one detected condition matches at least one of the plurality of known conditions, to select, in response to identifying the detected known condition, an automatic autonomous driving mode of the vehicle, and then to execute a predetermined driving maneuver corresponding to the detected known condition.

摘要: Systems of a vehicle for sharing vehicle controls are provided. One example system includes an on-board computer that is part of the vehicle and communications circuitry of the vehicle usable by the on-board computer. The communications circuitry is configured to make connections with a wireless network for accessing a server. The on-board computer is configured to execute instructions for enabling portable devices that enter the vehicle to make a wireless connection with the vehicle. Vehicle electronics are interfaced with one or more vehicle systems and the on-board computer. The on-board computer is configured to provide access to at least one graphical user interface viewable via the portable device using the wireless connection. The at least one graphical user interface includes input options that enable control for features of said vehicle systems of the vehicle. A location for the portable device within the vehicle is identified. The location is associated with select ones of the vehicle systems for an environment zone of the location, and vehicles systems that are not for the environment zone are not provided as input options via the graphical user interface provided for the portable device. The graphical user interface provides preferences associated with a user account when the portable device transfers credentials to the vehicle when making the wireless connection with the vehicle.

摘要: A method manages energy of a hybrid vehicle. The vehicle includes a heat engine, one or more electric traction motors, a high-voltage traction battery, a low-voltage on-board battery for accessories of the vehicle, a current inverter to transform direct currents into alternating currents for the electric motor, and a reversible current transformer to convert high-voltage current into low-voltage current of the on-board battery and to use a stock of energy available in the low-voltage battery to not draw energy from the high-voltage battery when it has a relatively low level of charge. The method includes determining an operating point of the vehicle involving a minimum fuel consumption in the heat engine by imposing on the electric motor a torque that minimizes a criterion of total fuel consumption by the consumption of the heat engine, power consumed in the traction battery, and power consumed in the on-board battery.

摘要: A system and method for operating a hybrid vehicle having an engine and an eMachine coupled by a clutch using a hybrid controller is presented. The method determines an idle fuel rate of the engine, determines a hybrid efficiency index for the hybrid vehicle, determines an expected energy storage rate increase for an operating condition where the engine is decoupled from a vehicle transmission using said clutch, multiplies the expected energy storage rate increase by the hybrid efficiency index to determine an expected fuel rate reduction of the engine in the operating condition; and decouples the engine from the vehicle transmission using the clutch if the expected fuel rate reduction is greater than the idle fuel rate.

When the throttle opening degree for speed ratio control is corrected in a decreasing manner such that the engine rotational speed falls, the aforementioned smoothing process is not executed.
