    Abstract: A power supply charging system having first and second alternating power cells, a motor driven generator adapted to operably switch between providing power between the first and second alternating power cells, a third power cell which supplies power to the motor driven generator, and a control system having a power cell managing module and a charge control module. The power cell module is adapted to alternate the motor driven generator to operably switch between providing power to the first and second alternating power cells. The charge control module is adapted to detect the occurrence of a pre-determined power supply condition to activate the motor driven generator to provide power to the first or second alternating power cells. The power supply charging system may find particular use in generating a direct current, converting the direct current to an alternating current, and providing a continuous alternating current to a facility or equipment.

    Abstract: A power management and selection system for a class 8 tractor trailer, directs excess solar and vehicular charge capacity to an auxiliary load by measuring available charge capacity from a reefer power system including a reefer battery, solar panel and charge controller for moderating solar power to the reefer batter, and measuring available charge capacity from a cab vehicle power system including a propulsion system battery and alternator. Charge logic, in a selector configured for switching charge capacity to the auxiliary load, determines which of the reefer power system and cab vehicle power system has the most potential excess charge capacity, and directs the determined excess charge capacity to the auxiliary load, while the measured available charge capacity remains sufficient for powering the respective reefer power system or cab vehicle power system.

    Abstract: An in-vehicle power supply system supplies electric power to a large electric power load and a small electric power load. The in-vehicle power supply system includes a first power supply unit to output electric power having a first voltage higher than a total power supply voltage required by the large and small electric power loads, zone management units to manage predetermined zones on the vehicle, a power supply trunk line unit connecting the first power supply unit and the zone management units and a step-down conversion unit disposed in a zone of one zone management unit of the zone management units and to convert the electric power having the first voltage into electric power having a second voltage lower than the first voltage. The power supply trunk line unit includes a high-voltage power supply line to distribute the electric power having the first voltage.

    Abstract: A control device for a vehicle comprised of an electric power supply control part controlling the supply of electric power to electrical equipment and an electric power transfer control part controlling the transfer of electric power between a first battery and a second battery. The electric power supply control part supplies the electric power of the second battery to a catalyst device if the electric power which can be output by the first battery is smaller than the total demanded output electric power of the electrical equipment and a need arises to supply electric power to the catalyst device so as to warm up the catalyst device. The electric power transfer control part supplies electric power of the first battery to the second battery if the electric power which can be output by the first battery is larger than the total demanded output electric power of the electrical equipment, the state of charge of the second battery is less than a predetermined first state of charge considered required when using the electric power of the second battery to warm up the catalyst device, and a temperature of the catalyst device is less than a predetermined temperature.
