    Abstract: A power management and selection system for a class 8 tractor trailer, directs excess solar and vehicular charge capacity to an auxiliary load by measuring available charge capacity from a reefer power system including a reefer battery, solar panel and charge controller for moderating solar power to the reefer batter, and measuring available charge capacity from a cab vehicle power system including a propulsion system battery and alternator. Charge logic, in a selector configured for switching charge capacity to the auxiliary load, determines which of the reefer power system and cab vehicle power system has the most potential excess charge capacity, and directs the determined excess charge capacity to the auxiliary load, while the measured available charge capacity remains sufficient for powering the respective reefer power system or cab vehicle power system.

    Abstract: A support tray with electrical charging capability facilitates the use and recharging of portable electronic devices having onboard batteries or the like. The support tray includes a tray body, a device support, an electrical power receiver, and an electrical power output device. The tray body has an upper surface for supporting a portable electronic device, and the device support is configured to support the portable electronic device in an upright orientation relative to the upper surface of the tray body. The electrical power receiver receives electrical power from an outside power source, such as a wall outlet, and the electrical power output device is a wireless power transmitter, a high voltage AC power receptacle, a low voltage DC power receptacle, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: Provided herein is a relay architecture for selecting between multiple power sources. In one approach, a first relay and first power source are electrically coupled to a first terminal. A second relay and second power source are electrically coupleable to a second terminal and to the first relay. A load is electrically coupled with at least one of the following in the case that a load voltage is below a predetermined threshold: the first terminal, the second terminal, and a third power source, wherein a power supply is provided to the load by the first power source in the case that the first power source is coupled to the first terminal. The power supply is provided to the load by the second power source when the second power source is coupled to the second terminal and the first power source is disconnected from the first terminal.
