Abstract: A 4 wheel drive vehicle removes sense of shift difference through an acceleration shift control mode, and the acceleration shift control mode transfers an independent other drive shaft input torque to a drive shaft not connected to a transmission with respect to a transmission input torque transferred to a drive shaft connected with the transmission, so that a vehicle acceleration in an actual shift section connecting between a fore-section and post-section of the shift can be maintained to be equal to the vehicle acceleration of the fore-section and post-section of the, thereby overcoming the transfer torque change, which is not overcome in a conventional slip control method, speed control method and time control method, when transferring a torque to the drive wheels in the actual shift section and realizing the shift quality without the sense of shift difference.

Abstract: A control device for a power transmission device including an automatic transmission and a sub transmission is provided. The control device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to perform a rotation speed decrease control in which at least one frictional engagement device is controlled to be an engaged state or a semi-engaged state at a time when switching of gear stage of the sub transmission is started or a time when the switching is started. The electronic control unit is configured to end the rotation speed decrease control during switching of the gear stage. The electronic control unit is configured to switch the sub transmission from the power transmission cutoff state to a state in which one of the high-speed engagement element and the low-speed engagement element is engaged, during disengagement of the at least one frictional engagement device.

Abstract: An automotive vehicle includes traction wheels, a powertrain configured to transmit drive power to the traction wheels, a sensor configured to detect a presence of an occupant, an actuator configured to control vehicle steering, acceleration, braking, or shifting, and at least one controller configured to automatically control the actuator based on an automated driving system algorithm. The powertrain is selectively operable in a first mode having a first operating characteristic and a second mode having a second operating characteristic. The controller is further configured to control the powertrain in the first mode in response to the sensor detecting an occupant being present and the actuator being controlled based on the automated driving system algorithm, and in the second mode in response to the sensor detecting no occupant being present and the actuator being controlled based on the automated driving system algorithm.

Abstract: A vehicle driving force control apparatus is mounted in a vehicle that runs by transmitting power from a plurality of drive sources to a plurality of wheels or a plurality of sets of wheels. The vehicle driving force control apparatus includes: a ratio determination unit; and a command unit. The ratio determination unit determines a target ratio at which a required driving force applied to the vehicle is to be distributed to the plurality of wheels or the plurality of sets of wheels. The command unit commands the plurality of drive sources to output power such that driving force distributed in accordance with the target ratio is generated in the plurality of wheels or the plurality of sets of wheels.

Abstract: A vehicle executing a turn will most likely be slowed down before the turn and when a driver activates a turn signal to indicate the turn, a vehicle internal controller uses this information to engage regenerative braking for energy recapture while slowing down the vehicle for the pending turn. Since the turn signal is usually activated very early in the turn event, and turns are an ongoing, frequent part of driving, a greater overall vehicle efficiency can be realized without special effort from the driver. Implementation is relatively simple for the manufacturer and adds no cost since the controllers and sensors are already installed on nearly all roadworthy vehicles. Fuel mileage and vehicle driving ranges are improved on a large scale and brake system wear is reduced.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for a vehicle remote starter safety system. An example disclosed vehicle includes range detection sensors and an autonomy unit. The example autonomy unit, in response to receiving a start signal, confirms, via the range detection sensors, that a garage door of a garage in which the vehicle is located is open, starts an engine of the vehicle, and autonomously maneuvers the vehicle out of a garage until a tailpipe of the vehicle is outside the garage.

Abstract: A transmission assembly for a self-propelled machine includes a transmission housing fitted with an input shaft and an output shaft, a so-called drive shaft linked to the input shaft by an endless belt transmission and, arranged between the drive shaft and the output shaft, transmission elements including a control mechanism for reversing the rotational drive direction of the output shaft, and a clutch control mechanism, the direction reversing and clutch controls carried by the housing being mounted respectively movable, one between at least three positions: a neutral position, a forward position and a reverse position, the other between at least an engaged position and a disengaged position. The direction reversing control forms, in the neutral position, an element for blocking the clutch control in the disengaged position, and the clutch control forms, in the engaged position, an element for locking the direction reversing control in the forward or reverse position.
