摘要: The invention concerns a method for charging an electrical energy storage unit, in particular installed in a vehicle, from a continuous charging terminal, using a DC/DC voltage converter to adapt the voltage between said continuous charging terminal and said electrical energy storage unit, said DC/DC voltage converter comprising at least two interleaved cells operating out of phase, each cell having respective switches; said method comprising control of the switches of said DC/DC voltage converter by pulse width modulation with a duty cycle to adapt the voltage between said continuous charging terminal and the electrical energy storage unit, said duty cycle having a given value αv that is substantially constant over several interleaving cycles.

摘要: An electric vehicle receives electric power, in a non-contact manner, from an electric power transmitting coil provided externally to the vehicle. The electric vehicle includes an electric power receiving unit that is disposed at a bottom of the vehicle and receives electric power from the electric power transmitting unit via electromagnetic field resonance; a camera that captures an image of the outside; and a display unit that displays an outside view from the vehicle that is captured by the camera. The electric power receiving unit is disposed at a position that is offset toward a peripheral face, on which the camera is disposed, with respect to the center of the bottom in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

摘要: In a power storage system, a bidirectional DC-DC converter is set into mode for charging a secondary battery with electricity when a first state of charge (SOC) of the secondary battery is larger than a minimum value of the first SOC, and a second SOC of the capacitor is smaller than a maximum value of the second SOC, and the converter is set into mode for discharging electricity from the secondary battery when the first SOC is smaller than a maximum value of the first SOC, and the second SOC is larger than a minimum value of the second SOC. Based on an internal resistance of the secondary battery, the second SOC, a voltage of a direct current link in case of no load connected to DC link, and an error in a current on a direct current link side, a conduction ratio (D) of the converter is calculated.

摘要: An electrically powered vehicle includes a power storage device, a motor, a limitation control unit, a notification unit, and a changing unit. The motor generates traveling driving power using electric power output from the power storage device. The limitation control unit limits possible output power, which indicates electric power able to be output from the power storage device, based on a load state of the power storage device. The notification unit notifies a warning when the possible output power is smaller than a threshold value for notifying a driver of decrease of the traveling driving power. The changing unit increases, when the load state of the power storage device is high, the threshold value to be larger than the threshold value when the load state of the power storage device is low.

摘要: An object is to reduce a discharging time required for discharging residual charges of a capacitor. A power conversion device according to the present invention includes: an inverter circuit unit; a step-up circuit unit; a smoothing capacitor; and a step-up circuit control unit which controls the step-up circuit unit, wherein the step-up circuit unit has a first switching element, a second switching element connected electrically in series to the first switching element, and a reactor having a conducting current controlled by switching operation of the first switching element and the second switching element, and the step-up circuit control unit has a first control mode of controlling the switching operation of the first switching element and the second switching element by changing a duty command value and outputting a stepped up voltage from the step-up circuit unit, and a discharge control mode of discharging electric charges stored in the smoothing capacitor into the reactor, with the duty command value fixed to a predetermined value.

Availability of charged portable electrical energy storage devices available at a collection, charging and distribution machine are communicated to or acquired by a mobile device of a user or a user's vehicle. Once the mobile device of a user or a user's vehicle comes within close proximity of the collection, charging and distribution machine or within a particular area surrounding the collection, charging and distribution machine, the collection, charging and distribution machine or a collection, charging and distribution machine management system communicates an alert (e.g., over a cellular network, short range wireless signal or wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) network) to the mobile device or vehicle indicating how many portable electrical energy storage devices are available at the distribution machine.
