摘要: A driver system includes a first half-bridge that generates a first load current at a first output node, a second half-bridge that generates a second load current at a second output node, a first voltage charging device coupled to the first output node, and a second voltage charging device coupled to the second output node. A method of detecting a short circuit condition in the driver system includes detecting a first charging time at which a first charging voltage of the first voltage charging device is charged to a first threshold voltage; detecting a second charging time at which a second charging voltage of the second voltage charging device is charged to a second threshold voltage; and detecting the short circuit condition on a condition that a time difference between the first charging time and the second charging time is less than a time difference threshold.

摘要: An LLC resonant converter includes a switching circuit for converting a DC voltage into switching signal, a resonant tank coupled to the switching circuit to receive the switching signal and to provide a primary current, a transformer circuit coupled to the resonant tank. The transformer circuit includes a plurality of separated transformers, each has a primary side and a secondary side windings disposed on the PCB, where the primary side winding of each transformer can be selected to couple in series or in parallel with the primary side winding of other transformers to form a dynamically varied equivalent primary side winding, maintaining the turns ratio to fine-tune the resonant tank. The gain curve of the LLC converter can be adjusted by electrically coupling an external excitation inductor, a resonant capacitor or a resonant inductor to the resonant tank, according to the demand of output current.

摘要: Disclosed are a modulation strategy suitable for balancing losses of power switches in a bridge arm of a neutral point clamped three level inverter and an implementation method. The modulation strategy includes that an operation type of an inverter is determined and a corresponding modulation style is selected on the basis of a power factor (PF) angle; a corresponding modulation interval is selected according to the modulation style; and drive signals for various power switches are outputted, to balance switching losses of inner and outer sides of a bridge arm. The modulation strategy of the present disclosure enables the rational utilization of freewheeling paths to achieve a balanced distribution of losses between the inner and outer power switches of the inverter bridge within the entire PF range, thereby prolonging the service life of power electronic devices.

摘要: A multi-level inverter topology is disclosed. A power converter circuit converts a DC source at its input to provide an alternating current (AC) at its output. The power converter circuit may have a controller operably attached to multiple series connections of switches. The controller may control one or more of the multiple series connections of switches to convert a DC input to provide multi-level AC voltages with DC offset across two terminals of the power converter circuit. The multi-level AC voltages with DC offset may then be converted by use of a plurality of series connections of switches to provide a single-phase AC voltage at a first output terminal with respect to at least one of a neutral potential, an earth potential, or a terminal of the power converter circuit.

摘要: An apparatus includes a power converter having switches coupled to input voltage rails and to opposing terminals of a coil to be energized. The switches are configured to be turned ON or OFF to conduct or block current, respectively, responsive to switch control signals. The apparatus also includes a controller to generate the switch control signals to compel the power converter to selectively operate (i) in a normal mode in which the switches are periodically turned ON and OFF to supply current from the input voltage rails to the coil to energize the coil, and (ii) in a protection mode in which first switches are continuously turned ON, and second switches are continuously turned OFF, to interrupt the current, and to circulate an initial current, flowing in the coil when the protection mode is entered, through the power converter and the coil so that the initial current decays toward zero.
