Abstract:
Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process one or more configuration transmissions from the gNB carrying a rule for Uplink (UL) collisions and process a first Downlink (DL) transmission and a second DL transmission. The second circuitry may be operable to identify a first UL transmission for the first DL transmission and a second UL transmission for the second DL transmission, the first UL transmission overlapping with the second UL transmission in at least one Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol. The third circuitry may be operable to generate at least one of the first UL transmission and the second UL transmission in accordance with the rule for UL collisions.
Abstract:
A technology for device to device (D2D) communication scheduling is disclosed. A D2D device can be synchronized with a base station of a cellular system. A sub-frame symbol boundary can be identified in the cellular system for the D2D communication. A resource for a D2D communication can be allocated from the D2D device to another D2D device within the sub-frame boundary of the cellular system. The D2D device can be switched to perform a D2D communication with another D2D device in proximity with the D2D device, wherein the other D2D device is substantially synchronized with the base station of the cellular system. The D2D device can communicate with the other D2D device within at least one symbol boundary time within the selected subframe.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods for packet based device-to-device (D2D) discovery in an LTE network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, UE may be enabled for proximity services and may be configured to receive signaling from an enhanced node B (eNB) indicating resources allocated for D2D discovery. The UE may configure a discovery packet in accordance with a predetermined configuration to have at least a discovery payload and a cyclic-redundancy check (CRC). The discovery payload may include discovery-related content. The UE may be configured to transmit the discovery packet on at least some of the indicated resources for receipt by a receiving UE. In some embodiments, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) may be selected to indicate a payload size and/or MCS of the discovery packet's payload.
Abstract:
In embodiments, apparatuses, methods, and storage media may be described for identifying subframes in a radio frame on which a UE may receive a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) or enhanced PDCCH (ePDCCH) transmission. Specifically, the UE may receive multiple indications of uplink/downlink (UL/DL) subframe configurations and identify one or more subframes in which the UE may receive the PDCCH or ePDCCH transmission. The UE may then monitor one or more of the identified subframes and base discontinuous reception (DRX) timer functionality on one or more of the identified subframes.
Abstract:
Examples may include techniques to enable user equipment (UE) to establish a device-to-device (D2D) communication link for D2D communications with another UE. In some examples, the D2D communications may occur when either both or at least one UE is within a coverage area for a wireless wide area network (WWAN). In some other examples, both UEs may be outside of the coverage area and may utilize a third UE to provide or relay information for use to establish the D2D communication link.
Abstract:
A device includes a transceiver to receive, from a base station, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and processing circuitry to classify downlink (DL) subframe types for a set of DL subframes associated with a first uplink (UL) subframe for transmission of a hybrid automatic report request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) and perform physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources mapping based on the classified DL subframe Types for an acknowledgement transmission associated with PDSCH transmission reception.
Abstract:
A technology is disclosed for a user equipment (UE) that is operable to dynamically change an uplink/downlink (UL/DL) configuration in a communications network. A radio resource control (RRC) connection can be requested with an enhanced node B (eNode B). A UE Capability Information information element (IE) can be communicated to the eNode B to indicate an enhanced interference mitigation and traffic adaptation (eIMTA) capability of the UE to support an eIMTA time duplex domain (TDD) UL/DL reconfiguration functionality. An eIMTA configuration information can be received at the UE information within a RRCConnectionSetup message or a RRCConnectionReconfiguration message.
Abstract:
Technology for transmitting physical broadcast channel (PBCH) contents is disclosed. An evolved node B (eNB) may configure one or more repetitions of PBCH content for transmission, to a user equipment (UE), from a cell at a selected time interval. The eNB may select a scrambling code for the one or more repetitions of PBCH content transmitted from the cell. The eNB may apply the scrambling code to one or more repetitions of PBCH content.
Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) enables synchronous peer-to-peer communication between devices for out of network coverage and partial network coverage scenarios. The UE performs a synchronization procedure and selects a spectrum resource within an uplink (UL) spectrum for device-to-device (D2D) communication. The UE, representing a synchronization source, generates timing information and synchronization signals for synchronizing a group of wireless communication devices (peer UEs) with the UE in a local synchronization area. The UE transmits, in selected or pre-allocated time or frequency resources, a synchronization signal including the timing information in order to synchronize devices in the local synchronization area.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and apparatuses related to receiving one or more indications of time division duplex (TDD) uplink/downlink (UL/DL) configurations for two consecutive radio frames. Based on the indications of the TDD UL/DL configurations, a reference TDD UL/DL configuration may be identified for one or more Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) processes.
