摘要: The present invention primarily concerns the use of compounds of the following formula (I) wherein X represents an oxygen atom, a —CHO, an —OH, or a —CH2OH group, a single bond or a double bond is present at the respective location of one of the dotted lines, at least one double bond is present when X is an OH group, and the 3-isopentyl or 3-isopent-2-enyl residue is connected to the ring in the ortho, meta, or para position to the X group, as perfuming and/or flavouring agents. The invention further relates to fragrance and flavour compositions containing one or more of these compounds, perfumed or flavoured articles comprising one or more of these compounds and corresponding processes for imparting, modifying and/or enhancing certain odour notes.

A method of making the polarized polymer-catalyst assembly may include providing a fiber mat having polymeric nanofibers retaining a plurality of catalytic metallic nanoparticles, stretching the fiber mat in a uniaxial direction, simultaneous with the step of stretching, thermally heating the fiber mat, simultaneous with the steps of stretching and thermally heating, subjecting the fiber mat to an electric field, whereby the simultaneous steps of stretching, thermally heating, and subjecting thereby form a polarized fiber mat.

摘要: Disclosed are novel processes for making cyclohexanone compositions, from a mixture comprising phenol, cyclohexanone, and cyclohexylbenzene. The process includes hydrogenation of a feed stream comprising phenol, cyclohexanone, and cyclohexylbenzene. The feed stream may be subjected to one or more pre-hydrogenation treatments, such as passing through one or more sorbents, addition of basic chemical agents, and/or addition of water, so as to improve catalyst activity, minimize undesired side reactions, and/or remove catalyst poisons from the feed stream. The feed stream may be provided to a hydrogenation reaction zone in the vapor phase, with periodic alterations to hydrogenation reaction conditions such that the feed is provided in mixed liquid and vapor phase in order to carry out liquid washing of a hydrogenation catalyst bed within the hydrogenation reaction zone.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a process for producing phenol. The process includes oxidizing at least a portion of a feed comprising cyclohexylbenzene to produce an oxidation composition comprising cyclohexyl-1-phenyl-1-hydroperoxide. The oxidation composition may then be cleaved in the presence of an acid catalyst to produce a cleavage reaction mixture comprising the acid catalyst, phenol and cyclohexanone. At least a portion of the cleavage reaction mixture may be neutralized with a basic material to form a treated cleavage reaction mixture. In various embodiments, the treated cleavage reaction mixture contains no greater than 50 wppm of the acid catalyst or no greater than 50 wppm of the basic material.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a process for producing phenol. 摘要: The present invention provides processes for the production of chiral compounds in a stereoisomeric excess. The present processes involve reacting a hydrometallated alkene compound with a compound comprising a conjugated-bond system under conditions such that the compounds undergo an asymmetric 1,4- or 1,6-conjugate addition reaction, generating a chiral compound in a stereoisomeric excess. The reaction is performed in the presence of a metal catalyst, which catalyst preferably comprises a non-racemic chiral ligand.
